Fig and Grape Crostini

Servings: 6
Prep Time: 15 mins
Cook Time: 15 mins
Total Time: 30 mins
Course: Appetizer
Cuisine: American

  • 2 c red, seedless grapes
  • 6-8 figs, cut into fourths
  • 1 4 oz log goat cheese
  • Prosciutto
  • 1 French baguette, cut into 12-15 thin, 1/2’’ slices
  • 3 Tbsp olive oil
  • 1/4 c butter
  • 1 clove garlic, crushed
  • 2 tsp finely chopped rosemary
  • Salt to taste

  • In a large skillet, heat 3 Tbsp olive oil on medium-low heat. When hot, add garlic and cook for about 3 minutes, or until lightly golden. Add grapes, figs, and rosemary and begin to reduce down on medium-low heat—season with salt to taste. When ingredients are tender, thick, and jammy, remove from heat and set aside—should take about 10 minutes.
  • Toast the baguette slices under a broiler, with butter on each side, or, carefully in a toaster. When slices are golden (on both sides), spread goat cheese on top, followed by the grape and fig spread, and a thin slice of prosciutto wrapped around the whole appetizer. Serve warm or cold and enjoy!
