Baked inside the bread, this Baked Brie Bread Bowl is gooey, and oh-so-good! Perfect for sharing or snacking, brie has never been better!
Ingredients
1bread boule or other round loaf, we like sourdough
2Tbspmelted butter
112 ouncewheel of Brie, room temperature
⅓cuppeach jam
⅓cupcandied pecans, chopped
1teaspoonthyme leaves, optional
Sliced apples and thin lemon cookies, for dipping
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 375°F. Use a serrated knife to cut out a hole on the top of the bread to hold the brie wheel. Remove the bread so the brie wheel fits right into the space, using your fingers or a spoon.
Next, cut slits around the outer edge of the bread 1-inch apart.
Score the brie by making cuts with the knife, to allow for the jam to sink into the brie. Place the brie wheel in the center of the bread.
Brush the top and sides of the bread with the butter.
Top the brie with the jam, chopped nuts, and fresh thyme. Bake for 20-30 minutes, or until the brie is bubbly and the bread is toasted.
Remove from the oven and serve immediately with apple slices and thin lemon cookies.
