Ingredients
1 3/4
cups
sugar
1/2
cup
cocoa powder
1/2
cup
flour
1
tsp.
baking powder
4
oz.
dark chocolate
4
oz.
white chocolate
4
eggs
,
beaten
1
tsp.
almond extract
1
cup
fresh cherries
,
pitted and halved
1 1/3
cups
walnut halves
1
cup
butter
,
2 sticks, melted
Instructions
Preheat the oven to 325 degrees. Lightly great an 8×8 pan (or line with parchment paper). Combine the sugar, cocoa powder, flour, and baking powder.
Set aside the combined chocolate pieces. (Chop into small pieces if you are using large chunks.)
Add the 4 beaten eggs to the dry mixture, and mix until just combined. Gently stir in the chocolate pieces, cherries, and walnuts.
Slowly melt the butter (in small pan or microwave) and pour into the mixture; stir without over mixing.
Spoon the brownie mixture into the prepared 8-inch pan, and bake for 45-50 minutes.
Let cool for at least 1 hour before cutting into squares. Serve with premium vanilla ice cream and fresh cherries on top.
