Brownie Crinkle Cookies with dates
This Brownie Crinkle Cookies recipe is the best Christmas Cookie! It has a brownie flavor that is soft and fudgy, made with chopped dates.Make dough ahead of time and freeze in balls. Defrost cookie balls and roll in powdered sugar before baking!
Ingredients
- ½ cup butter, 1 stick, melted
- ⅔ cup cocoa
- 2 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- ½ cup brown sugar, firmly packed
- 1 tsp. salt
- 2 tsp. vanilla
- 2 cups flour
- 1 ½ tsp. baking powder
- 1 cup dates, finely chopped
- ½ cup powdered sugar
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350. Combine melted butter, cocoa, eggs, both sugars, salt, and vanilla. Mix well.
- Whisk in flour and baking powder and mix well. Stir in dates. Cover and chill for 30 minutes, until dough is firm.
- Place the powdered sugar in a small bowl. Scoop the dough into 3/4 inch rounds and roll in the powdered sugar.
- Arrange the cookies on parchment-lined baking sheets and bake for 8-10 minutes.
- Cool the cookies before serving.
