Pear Pie Bites recipe is a delicious dessert made with mini fillo shells, filled with chopped pears, cardamom, and cinnamon, topped with a caramel drizzle. Optional to serve with a dab of whipped cream!
Ingredients
1package Athens Mini Fillo Shells, 15 shells
2cupsfinely chopped pears, leave skins on, about 2 pears
Preheat oven to 400 degrees F. In a small bowl combine the pears, sugar, cinnamon, and cardamom. Roast the pear mixture for about 10 minutes, stirring once.
Lay the fillo shells on a plate. Spoon into the shells the hot pear mixture.
Drizzle bites with caramel sauce. Optional to add chopped pecans. Sprinkle lightly with sea salt; serve immediately. Also optional to serve with a tiny scoop of vanilla ice cream or fresh whipped cream.
