In a 12-inch ovenproof skillet melt 2 tablespoons of the butter over medium heat. Add the peaches and ¼ cup of the brown sugar. Cook, stirring for about 4-5 minutes. Remove the pan from the heat.
In a medium bowl, combine the remaining 4 tablespoons butter, ½ cup brown sugar, flour, spicy pecans, cinnamon, and salt. Spread the mixture over the peaches.
Bake until golden brown and bubbly, about 25 minutes. Serve warm with vanilla ice cream.
