1-2packages of pita chips or butter crackers or favorite sturdy chips
Instructions
In a stand mixer, add the softened 2 blocks of cream cheese, and whip on high speed for 1-2 minutes.
Add the shredded cheddar, ⅓ of the jar of pepper jelly, half of the diced green onion, plus your favorite seasoning. Whip until smooth. If you need to add 1-2 tsp of water to make it a little creamier, this is an option.
Spread the whipped dip onto a dinner plate.
Cover and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
To serve, remove the dip from the refrigerator and immediately spread the remaining pepper jelly all over the top with a spatula. Top with the fresh chopped crunchy bacon and finely chopped green onions.
Serve with a round of butter crackers or pita chips (the thicker ones), or your favorite crackers and chips.
ENJOY!
Notes
Optional to bake the dip at 350 degrees for 15 minutes. If you do this, place in a greased pie pan, and bake BEFORE adding the spread of pepper jelly on top, bacon, and green onions. Serve right away.
