Hot Cocoa Mug Cake
Chocolatey and ready in minutes, Hot Cocoa Mug Cakes makes 2 servings, so it’s perfect for sharing when you’re craving something sweet! Makes 2 mugs.
Ingredients
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- ½ cup hot cocoa mix, we use Trader Joe’s
- ½ cup whole milk
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 4 tablespoons granulated white sugar
- pinch of salt
- ½ teaspoon vanilla extract
- ½ teaspoon almond extract
- ½ teaspoon baking powder
- 2 tablespoon favorite chocolate chips
Topping:
- Fudge sauce
- Optional: Dry mini marshmallow bits
Instructions
- In a small bowl, add all of the ingredients and mix well with a whisk. Pour into 2 large mugs.
- When ready to serve, place one mug at a time in the microwave for 90 seconds up to 2 minutes, or until a toothpick comes out clean when placed in the center of the cake.
- Add toasted marshmallows on top and drizzle with hot fudge sauce.
- While cooling, cook the other mug of cake.
- Allow it to cool for one to two minutes before eating.
