Asian Tuna with Toasted Sesame
Asian Tuna with Toasted Sesame recipe is a 30-minute savory dish, perfect for weeknight or easy entertaining. Serve on top of rice, potatoes, or quinoa.
We are a fish-loving family. Most the time when we eat out, the dish of choice is salmon or another fresh fish entree.
Asian Tuna Steak
Recently on a family vacation, I made this delicious Asian Tuna with Toasted Sesame that we’ve made before, and love so much, that we made it again!
Ingredients for ahi tuna steak
Asian Seafood Sauce, orange, tuna steaks (we buy at Costco), and green onion.
You’ll need salt and pepper and then sesame seeds.
Easy!
Home is …
Since our homes are a significant part of who we are, I was thrilled when I found this in the Hallmark store the other day while waiting in line for their postal service. The wording caught my eye. So beautiful, and a true reminder of family.
Tree of Life – Papyrus art
In our home, we have a family wall with several pieces, photos, reminders of our heritage. Most recently we bought another Tree of Life piece (with 5 birds), on our trip through Cairo last summer (after Africa and on our way to Turkey), a genuine papyrus piece of art.
Home is a springboard
I love how Melissa talks about adding textures and colors, in her new book, Love the Home you Have, that makes us feel alive and engaged {Click, here, to buy the book.}. She goes on to say, “Home is a safety net and springboard for you and your family to accomplish the many dreams you will have in your lifetime. That’s why it’s essential to create a home that is a true reflection of your life as a whole.”
Every time we walk up our stairs to the family room, we are reminded of “family.” The words, pictures, inspiration, family roots–you can’t help but notice and for me every time, I whisper a little thanks.
My hubby was in Kentucky speaking over Easter, so the boys came and surprised their mama (yay!), and I luckily got a quick picture of them. Grateful for the day, a gift.
Asian Tuna with Toasted Sesame
Now for the recipe. I always love a dish I can make in less than 30 minutes!
Toast the sesame seeds (which I love how they add a nutty flavor to foods), bake, and enjoy!
As I mentioned above, we are a fish family. I’d say we eat fish at least 3 times a week, mostly salmon.
My daughter recently made an amazing coconut-crusted tilapia recipe that I’ll be sharing, soon.
Today’s recipe is a real treat, very simple, with tuna steaks, served on a rice quinoa mixture.

This looks delicious. Have you tried this sauce with Salmon?
This recipe sounds fantastic!! Was looking for dinner ideas for the next couple days and will definitely be making this one. And thank you for sharing about your family wall. I have one that is about half finished. Hoping your inspiring post encourages me to get the other half done. xoxo
Hi,
I’m following you from Ireland and unfortuantly I haven’t been able to find McKormick Asian Seafood Sause for sale over here. Any suggestions for any alternative?
Hi, Jennifer. You could probably get away with using a Hoisin sauce, but I see you can order it on Amazon? Google it .. easy to find! I’ll keep looking :)
