Apricot Almond Appetizer
This Apricot Almond Appetizer is the perfect lighter appetizer to bring to a party, and an excellent choice for gluten-free guests!
Good Morning, Friends! I can’t believe it’s November! One word that sums up November for me is “awesomeness.”
Apricot Almond Appetizer
Enjoy these Apricot Bites drizzled with honey! My favorite Fall appetizer!
Here are the easy ingredients for this appetizer:
- Dried apricots
- Whole roasted almonds
- Goat cheese
- Honey
- Fresh thyme (rosemary works, too)
Bringing people together
It’s not your typical “gratitude” word, but it really sums up “life” for me—all things surrounding the beauty of nature, and the blessings of family and friends, plus a whole lot of extra blessings like health, a home, doing something meaningful in life (I love sharing with you on RE), being a mom and wife, and stepping outside of my comfort zone (yes, these are often blessings, because they stretch us and make us better people).
Entertaining as a way of bringing people together. I’m sort of a catalyst, one would say, of connection. [Another way to bring people together is to serve casual dishes, like The Big Board ideas!]
I like this role. It took me a few years after being married to realize that I was really good at it, and to relish and use these gifts. My husband learned to be a part of it, although at first he was more nervous than I was!
We love having people over, and seeing the magic that happens around the table!
Friendsgiving party idea.
If you’re looking for a “new idea” on how to host friends this month, I’m contributing over at RecipeGirl’s now (as an entertaining “expert,” ha ha!), with specific party ideas for the holidays, plus this menu! I love it when there is an entire menu laid out. Easy planning!
Take a peek here, of my Friendsgiving menu, and head over to say hello to Lori!
Easy Apricot Almond Appetizer
Here’s an iPhone shot in my kitchen of these yummy Apricot Almond Appetizers ready for company! What I love about this recipe is you can make it a few hours earlier, easy to set out right before the guests arrive! I also think that sometimes we need an appetizer that is not so heavy … maybe just a bite to nosh on before the big meal!
It takes risk
Hospitality is risky. It’s not always safe, and just think about how you can help expand your borders, as well as other people’s, by bringing new individuals into your lives, and into the lives of others.
What is your style of inviting, and why does this work for you?

Looks delicious! Do you think it would be OK to make them the day before and keep them in the fridge?
Making these for a wedding shower next weekend! Just made one to try it out and LOVED IT!!!! Had to make a few more, just to be sure:) Easy, different and delicious! Sweet, salty, cheese and fruit all rolled into one!! ❤️
They will be a hit, Cathy! I agree, you can’t stop at just one … :)
What a lovely post!!
Excited to bring these for Thanksgiving. Just stumbled upon via Pinterest. Thanks for the idea! :-)
What a simple and tantalizing snack!!
Absolutely we are intentional with our invites. I love everything on your Friendsgiving menu – especially the appetizers. I’m a small bite person. The first bite of something is always the best for me, so why not just keep it at one bite and have lots of different one bite awesomeness. (nice word) I look forward to adding this to my list of appetizers.
What a great appetizer idea! They look so tasty!! :)
Do you think this would work with either cream cheese or ricotta? Not a goat cheese fan here, but otherwise these look amazing and I love all the other ingredients!
Cream cheese, for sure, Turner!!
Love those easy little appetizers. Wondering about a recipe for the salted caramel apple cake??? That sounds amazing!
Sue, it’s over on my side bar. You’ll see the photo of it, or use the “search” button on my blog. Enjoy!
These apps look divine! Questions: what is the “one hour freezing” in the Prep Time?
No freeze time, Sam. Sorry about that, it automatically popped up from the last 10 minute recipe. It’s just 10 minutes! Easy!
YUM! It all sounds so good. In the season of life that we are in, intentional inviting is the way it has to be…..sometimes last minute works, but not usually.
I feel like we are usually “last minute” entertainers…it’s fun, but I would love to be more intentional and that has really been on my mind a lot lately (probably because you’ve been writing about it!). I would love to bring a nice group together and plan out the menu, etc.
Speaking of menus…this menu is amazing. I love these little apricot bites, you always have the best appetizers!!
And about your word awesomeness…that is exactly how I’ve been feeling lately, I know everyone loves October, but I think November rocks!
Looks yummy! No trader joe’s tho…maybe I’ll still try with the grocery store ones.
I ADORE goat cheese and honey, but I have only ever tried it on a date. I am kind of in love with the apricot and almond switch up. These sounds great Sandy!! Pinned!
