Thank You: 2010 Referrals and a Fresh Year Ahead!
It’s important that I acknowledge some very special people here at RE today, because it’s a possibility that one of them sent you my way.
I’d like to take this post to thank my TOP 12 REFERRALS to my blog, and more importantly, if you have not read some of these blogs, now is the time to find a new “favorite!”
I love my blog sisters and I’m thankful for each one of them. Many I will be seeing in Nashville later this month at the Blissdom Conference.
So thank you, Ladies ….
My First Kitchen (who is leaving blogland – a huge loss for us!)
And speaking of Simple Mom, if you haven’t checked out Tsh’s new book – do it now. It’s perfect for January organizing, and organizing your life in general. I’d also like to say “thanks” to Tsh for including me in her new 2011 lineup of guest bloggers that will be a part of the Simple Mom Team this year. I’m SO honored to be amongst some of these incredible writers.
How to SUBSCRIBE to RE:
Did you know that you can receive a RE post every day in your email box? It’s very easy — over to the right of the blog you’ll see a box that says, “FIND ME,” and you’ll see another box that says “SUBSCRIBE BY EMAIL.” All you do is enter your email address and hit SUBSCRIBE. It’s that easy!
I hope you’re having a great week and getting back into your routines. I started out with good intentions, working out with my buddies early yesterday morning, and then I tripped … if you take a look at my hands and knees you’ll figure out the rest of the story. (LOL – gigantic gash on my knee, but I’m fine.)
I do love a fresh year year, because it’s exciting to come up with new goals as I always get inspired with healthier eating, exercise, projects around the house, and organizing. I told myself I was going to organize one drawer a day, read some new books, pray more, write more thank you notes, spend more time in the yard and garden. Already I’ve cleaned a bathroom drawer and my daughter organized the Tupperware cupboard. Every little bit helps!
Would you share a simple goal that you have for this fresh, new year?
(I also know there are so many other friends who’ve referred my blog to many this year, and I thank you from the bottom of my heart! I want to also thank Darcy, who designed this blog. Isn’t she amazing and talented? And the top photo is one of my favorites. It’s of me and my sisters and cousin cooking together in this post.)
Last year I wanted to join a CSA and run some 5k’s and I accomplished it. This year I would love to adopt a beehive. I also want to do one kind thing for someone else everyday if I could. Something small like let a person go in front of me if they have less items to check out. Give a coupon I’m not using to someone else perhaps who has children. Grab an extra cart or basket for someone who is waiting. Let someone in while waiting in traffic. Just something simple, an act of kindness, hopefully it goes around.
My goals for this year are not simple at all, I am changing careers and starting my own business this year…I am really excited about it! : ) And a bit scared I guess… ; )
Congratulations on being a contributor to Simple Mom! I’ve been following her site for some time, and you’ll be a perfect addition! I’m looking forward to your posts there.
I have many goals for the new year, but one in particular is to finish a scrapbook and start a new one. I love your goals, and I might have to add “write more thank yous” to my list!
Wow! This is the only “referral” list I have made this year! I am so excited!!!
I love sending people your way whenever I can. :)
Here are my goals this year:
To cook like SANDY.
To be cool like NESTER.
To be inspiring like MELISSA.
To take pictures like KATE.
To love life like LAYLA.
To be authentic like KIMBA.
To be loving like RHODA.
:) Wish me luck!
Love you Sandy!
I can’t wait to check out these referring sites – if they’re anything similar to yours, I’m sure they’ll have some great stuff. Thanks and happy new year!
I love that I was one of your top referrers because I think you are awesome and doing such great and inspiring work here! I so wish I was going to Blissdom to finally meet you in person :(
2010 was quite a year for you, Sandy! Congratulations! And I hope your 2011 is wonderful.
This year is going to be crazily busy one for our family. But probably the simplest goal I have right now is to do for the rest of my house what I did for our pantry last year–some inexpensive, real-life organization. I completely emptied my pantry, threw away what we didn’t need, and then organized the rest–and it’s STILL organized! It’s clean! It works, because I organized it in a way that would work for us. Now I need to do the same elsewhere. :)
My office space is in our kitchen, it’s one of the things I love about my kitchen, but it gets cluttered easily. Last year I worked really hard getting a paperwork system down, tackled a few boxes of said paperwork and got them filed/organized but then crashed and burned. I want to finish where I left off so that area can be cleaned up quickly if needed. Since it’s in the kitchen, it’s seen by anyone who enters our house. I love starting the new year with goals in mind, thanks for asking to keep me accountable :-)
I always feel so motivated and energized in January…so of course this year, I will be reading more…having friends over more (maybe start a dinner club), get every room and nook and cranny organized…set aside some one on one time with my children (mostly my teen daughter who is becoming a mystery to me)….and have even thought about starting a new blog…(seperate from my mostly family blog) Did I mention lose some weight…LOL! Ahhhh….January…so filled with good intention. I’m pretty sure my list in january is the same from year to year, so I’m clearly not getting very far. Maybe this will be the year!
I can’t remember how I came to stumble upon your blog…most likely the Nester. So glad I did. It’s one of my favorites. xo
It’s not so simple (sadly!)- I would like to get caught up on our photo albums. I do them online and because of a new baby, moving, moving again, etc., I’m behind. My kids love to go through these, so it’s a labor of love- but labor all the same! :)
