Nutella & Peanut Butter Crescent Roll Dessert

A few weeks ago on RE Facebook page, I asked my friends what they thought this picture was … many got it right. Can you guess?

An almost-empty jar of Nutella.

Which is a very sad day in our household, when we run out of Nutella.

Anyway, a while back, on our family’s last night of vacation together, I wanted to make a tasty treat. The last night usually means rummaging through the fridge for leftovers, trying to eat up what’s left, and it also meant we were scrambling for a little chocolate-something-dessert.

Our family has loved Nutella for years, long before it became so popular.

We know how good it is spread on a warm croissant, on a graham cracker, or as a quick treat by the spoonful, dipped into a creamy jar of peanut butter!

Since we didn’t have warm croissants, but we did have peanut butter and Pillsbury Crescent Rolls in the fridge, my daughter and I made a quick Nutella & Peanut Butter Braid.

Oh, my. Can you say “Melt in your mouth?”

Serve warm to your family.

They will love you forever.

What’s your favorite quick and easy way to eat Nutella?

  1. With a spoon?! I like to dip bananas in it. It’s also good melted on ice cream. Seriously, Nutella is like the bacon of sweets- it makes anything taste better!!

  2. YUM! That looks awesome!
My 3yo has recently gotten on a Nutella kick and we must replenish the stockpile. But I think maybe I don’t cook enough with Nutella…especially since we’re living in Germany right now where Nutella comes from!
Over here, it’s a staple in every home…and in all the Christmas markets, you will find tons of crepes with Nutella and other goodness. The best crepe yet, was Nutella with bananas. So yummy!

  3. This looks yummy (without the peanut butter. I HATE peanut butter). My favorite way to eat Nutella is spread on warm crepes with a banana sliced on top. Eaten on the street in Paris would make it even better.
