Summer Feeds the Soul with Alouette Cheese Sandwich Bar
This Grower’s Market-inspired Alouette Cheese Sandwich Bar is an easy summer entertaining idea for a casual party, luncheon, or picnic!
“If you really want to make a friend, go to someone’s house and eat with him…the people who give you their food give you their heart.” — Cesar Chavez
Summer feeds the soul. At least when it comes to outdoor activities, beautiful sunrises and sunsets, brightly colored flowers, pool parties, laughter with family and friends, fresh delicious foods. Summer also feeds the body in ways that bring pure delight to the soul.
Like a ripe tomato off the vine, served with zucchini ribbons, fresh-made jam, and delicious cheese, on a piece of homemade bread!
Recently our friends were stopping by for a quick lunch. Having just visited our local Grower’s Market with my daughter, the lunch menu was easy!
Shop the local market.
You don’t need a garden in your backyard to eat fresh during the summertime. Although we do have 18 tomato plants in our raised beds, the rest of the ingredients were easy to grab at the local market.
I placed all of these amazing ingredients on one giant serving tray!
Alouette Cheese.
One key ingredient on the tray is Alouette cheese, as our family fell in love with this product. I’ll tell you why.
The Alouette story goes back to the ‘70s when the company began making specialty French cheeses in Lancaster, Pennsylvania.
Soft and velvety in texture, the unique and fresh flavors are fantastic made with chunky vegetables, premium cheese, and a touch of Greek yogurt. I was also drawn to the fact that there are no artificial flavors or colors added.
Big flavor in small bites.
The Le Petite Fromage packs are little individually wrapped cheeses bursting with BIG, fresh flavor, so fun to serve at a buffet, as guests can choose the flavors they particularly are drawn to, although here’s a little warning: Be prepared to fall in love with each individual flavor!
They are perfectly portioned for the right bite: 2 mouthfuls of bold spices and creamy cheese.
Garden Salsa, Garlic & Herb, Parmesan & Basil, and Cucumber & Dill (my favorite).
Alouette Cheese Sandwich Bar.
Build a sandwich with cheese and jam.
Ribbons of zucchini + cucumbers.
Avocados and fresh ground pepper.
Onions, radish shoots, tomatoes, cheese.
Friends, this meal sets the standard for a casual, buffet-style summer lunch!
Build a sandwich, and they will come!
Creamy Le Bon Dips.
We also served a few flavors of Le Bon Dip. Our favorite? Basil Zucchini and Parmesan.
There’s also a dip that is better than hummus: Roasted Red Pepper & Chickpea.
Our guests raved over the Fire Roasted Vegetables dip and the Zesty Garden Salsa!
Need I say more?
Just like that, you have the perfect meal!
What’s a quick buffet idea that you like to serve for a casual luncheon when guests stop by?

This post is sponsored by Alouette Cheese, but as always, all opinions are my own!
I make a tomato jam and a jalapeno jelly that would be great with this!!!
That sounds amazing, Dana!
I LOVE Alouette cheese and this sandwich bar is incredibly genius. So simple but so darn gorgeous and delicious.
I am obsessed with Alouette dips and cheeses! This sandwich bar would be my favorite spot at the party!
I never knew that Alouette has yogurt in it – that must be the magic” that makes it so creamy. I’ve never seen those little minis either – they look so convenient!
I really envy your entertaining skills. You always put together the coolest things. Wish I was close by so I could learn from you. This is such a cool concept. I mean everyone loves sandwiches.
