Back-to-Back Dinner Parties Using GE Hybrid Stainless Steel Dishwasher
Today’s post I’ve partnered with GE Appliances! It’s informative and exciting, and I can’t wait to share more with you.
But let me start with our back-to-back dinner parties that we recently hosted.
Last weekend, my husband and I entertained both Thursday and Friday nights. We don’t usually do this, but it worked out to be the only nights available for both couples.
In 22 yeas of marriage, I think it’s the first time we’ve done back-to-back entertaining with 2 young couples. It was a blast, and so refreshing and fun!
And it was easy. Even though I cooked different menus, I used the same tabletop.
So when it was time to set the table the first night (with placemats–can you believe I didn’t use a tablecloth? ha-I’m such a tablecloth girl), I used my West Elm owl salad plates.
The second night, I used cheery yellow salad plates.
But kept everything else the same.
Enter our new GE 120 v Hybrid Stainless Steel Dishwasher.
I did an experiment during both dinners and ran our new dishwasher while the guests were here! You may remember my post, when I had just gotten my dishwasher installed and wrote about the features.
Keeping the peace …
One reason I LOVE our new appliance is because it keeps the home peaceful! We all know there’s nothing more disruptive than a loud dishwasher running – while you’re having dinner party!
Here are more GE Hybrid Stainless Steel Dishwasher features:
-There’s a hard food disposer with removable filter which pulverizes food particles and helps to prevent large particles from clogging the wash arms.
-2 separate wash zones – upper and lower – with a silverware basket on each level.
-Easy access silverware baskets with dedicated jets that clean each area.
-Adjustable upper rack, which holds plates up to 10 1/2″ and other tall items, such as wine glasses!
-Status light on the door tells you when the load is finished.
-Option to turn the “heated dry” off.
No smudges or water stains …
The stainless steel choice was perfect for my kitchen. Any water marks, smudges, or food wash off perfectly with Windex!
It more than meets my idea of a superior dishwasher, as I now realize how lacking my other one was.
If you’ve been shopping for a new dishwasher, please feel free to email me any questions. We love our new GE!
Clean just feels good …
And the reliability and confidence that my dishes will be clean – every time – also feels great!
If you bought a new dishwasher today, what are 1-2 features that you’d be looking for?
For more information, and a chance to “zoom in” and really see the features, visit GE, HERE. GE Appliances has provided me with this appliance. However, as always, my thoughts and opinions are my own.
Back to back dinner parties, you are amazing! There is a lot to be said for a quiet dishwasher! Love your table settings too.
I have those place mats :)
so… THIS post is awesome for me. the house we bought last year – we are finally ready to redo the kitchen, update appliances and build out the island space, etcetera. the appliances that came with the house are fine, I just want to update them. except for the dishwasher. this thing was designed by someone who not only does not wash dishes, but probably has never even SEEN a dish! it is the weirdest dishwasher I have ever seen, and regular size plates and glasses do not fit. I have to hand wash my “normal” size dinner plates (I have no idea what the previous house owners did!).
so I LOVE the stats of this model – I will have to check out the GE line!
Had to come back and tel you I love the owl plates. They look fantastic with the courtly checks. :)
That’s wonderful that you can run it with company there. Mine’s quiet but not that quiet.
First of all – I love your owl plates, so cute!
We don’t have a dishwasher here in NYC, I haven’t had one in over 10 years. So when dinner parties and holidays come around, it’s all about elbow grease in the sink. I dream of a dishwasher and a washer/dryer!
I like the idea of having adjustable shelves and features to accommodate different sized items, and it has to be QUIET! The dishwasher we had in our Colorado home was sooooooo quiet, and the one in our rental here in Arkansas is so loud. I didn’t realize how much I appreciated the quiet one while we had it!
