I’ve recently rediscovered Better Sleep Naturally with Essential Oils, and today I’m sharing my Young Living story with you.
Friends, I have an exciting story to share with you today. I’ve come on board with the “essential oils” world, becoming a firm believer, with a Better Sleep Naturally with Essential Oils!
When friends have asked me to try over the years, I sort of poo-pooed the idea, but this time something inside me said, give it a try.
I’ve not written about it here on my blog, because I wanted use them for a solid 3 months, in my home, on my body, every day, to see if I noticed a difference.
The more I learn, the more I fall in love with the incredible benefits of essential oils. Let me share with you my journey!
Better Sleep Naturally with Essential Oils
I bought the Premium Starter kit, so with 10 oils (plus Peace & Calm), I played around with mixing them up.
Here’s where I noticed a difference. SLEEP. I have a diffuser by my desk, where I sit in our living room (we have a small mountain home), and where the entire family can benefit in this great room.
I use the diffuser often throughout the day and evening, and then we fall into bed at night, after a very blessed day (count your blessings at nighttime, right? so much to be thankful for!)
When we first moved into our home, we were working so hard on our remodel, that when my head hit the pillow at night, because of the manual labor, I was out. Physically pooped, completely out for the entire night. I realized the sleep I was getting in central Oregon was completely different from our old house, where we lived for 11 years, where I’d wake up several times a night.
Maybe it was the mountain air, but I never felt so rested.
Enter settling in to life, traveling, lots of company, working hard, the holidays. I got back into a pattern of waking up again during the night. Several times.
And then I started using Young Living oils often throughout the day and evening.
My sleep is BACK, friends. I have not changed anything else (we still have company, travel, work hard, etc.)
For three months, I truly give the oils credit for my sleeping through the night, and the way my body feels.
Did you know that Peppermint can help wake you up in the morning? Add the drops to your diffuser, or did you know that you can use them topically? You can rub the oils on your feet, wrists, and neck?
My first combination that I tried was lavender and lemon. And it’s now my favorite. I swear it puts me to sleep! A sounds sleep!
Three months later, I’m a huge believer. I’ve tried every oil and of course have my favorites.
My daughter is using the oils in her college dorm, and it’s really calmed her in a stressful environment with her full schedule and music classes and performances.

I LOVE oils. We used several when our oldest had her ACL surgery and then just kept using them. Lemon and lavender combo is one of my faves. After our trip to NY I’m going to start saving to buy a kit after I went to an oils class recently.
I’m hoping we’ll get some hiking in this spring/summer. Sports have ended for us :( unless it’s watching our girls play indoor soccer which I love but we’ll also be watching lots of soccer on TV. I’m looking forward to getting outside more.
