Beautiful Designz Divine GIVEAWAY: What Does Freshening Up Mean to You?
The invitations have been sent, the menu planned, groceries in the fridge.
You spend the day cooking and preparing for the guests you’ve invited to dinner.
About an hour before they are to arrive, it’s time to wrap up the final details and get yourself ready!
(Btw, the cake recipe above is in my book. Mm-m-m, good.)
Ding-Dong.
The doorbell rings and your guests are at the front door.
Do you feel ready for company or are you frazzled and in the same clothes you’ve had on all day?
Ever want that designer look, but you don’t have a fortune to spend on expensive, designer silver jewelry?
My friend Melody Davis started her business, Designz Divine, so that women would have affordable options for dressing up their wardrobes, designer style! One piece of classic jewelry can really enhance your wardrobe. She offers a 30 Day Money Back Guarantee and a One Year No Worry Warranty on all products and a portion of all sales is donated to charity to help others in need. I love her heart. (This month, a portion of all proceeds goes to support the Salvation Army, which provides all types of humanitarian relief here in the United States.)
Melody’s biz, Designz Divine, offers high end, high quality, designer inspired sterling silver, gold and rhodium jewelry for a fraction of the cost of the real thing so you can dress like a million bucks without breaking the bank.
After receiving a beautiful bracelet which I love from Melody, and seeing the quality of her product, today I am thrilled to host a beautiful giveaway from Melody to you.
Her jewelry is affordable and would make a perfect birthday gift for a friend, or keep in mind that Christmas is right around the corner!
Remember, always feel your best when entertaining and wear what you love, so you feel not only good about your party, but about yourself, too. And the trick to accessorizing well is in finding a piece that you can wear with the majority of your wardrobe- whether dressed up or down.

Freshening up means that I no longer look like a hot mess for my guests! lol. I want to look like I threw a party together effortlessly!
I FB liked Designz Divine and commented about “accessorize when entertaining”. Keep it simple and use one piece.
I always look to give my appearance a little boost…just before the guests arrive I give myself a few minutes to countdown. Change of clothes, hair touchup, and some lip color does the trick most times ;)
Yes, I freshen up before guests arrive. Usually this means putting on clean clothes and touching up the hair and makeup.
I like you on Facebook and left a comment there too :)

Freshen up means hair and makeup. I have oily skin and fine hair….both need maintenance for sure :)
Liked you on FB as well!
It matters to me, because it puts me in the mood for my company. There might not be much difference in my appearance, but how I feel.
I like to freshen up.:.For me, this includes brushing my teeth and framing them with lip gloss while saying a prayer over the evening.
I commented on FB too.
I always do like to freshen up…usually just means changing my clothes and adding some jewelry though!
I’m usually cooking and getting the house ready in very comfy – definitely not party – attire, with a messy bun and little makeup! So freshening up is a must…. fresh clothes, makeup, curl the hair… Voilà !
Shared over on FB too!

I think I feel better when I take the time to freshen up, brushing my teeth is a biggie! I hate being self-conscious of my breath when trying to have conversation!
I always “freshen up” before the guests arrive. By time the designated time arrives, I have cooked and cleaned and decorated and I am usually a mess. I usually try to allow time to shower and change and get “party ready” but there are times that it means just touching up make up and re styling my hair. That jewerly is lovely! Off to explore her site more!
Thanks so much!
Freshening up to me is pretty simple : a change of clothing. I’m an extremely messy baker/cooker, so when I’m throwing an event I’ll throw on clothing that I’m not planning on wearing for the night (or at least just a shirt – unless flour is involved. Then the entire outfit needs to be different.). I’m pretty decent at timing the food for events, and I make sure everything is decorated that morning. So, after all the hot food is in the oven and the kitchen is cleaned up, I head to the bedroom, changed my outfit, and touch up my make-up & hair.
It does matter to me! With two little ones I like to at least wash my face and hands, freshen my eye makeup if need be and put on a clean t-shirt – bare minimum!
i’d like to think it doesnt matter!
Yes, it matters to me whether I freshen up before your company arrives for dinner. I like to at least smell nice even if I have been rushing around or sweating because it’s 110 degrees outside! To me, freshening up means adding some lipstick, changing my blouse if I need to, adding a necklace and spraying a bit of perfume on. A quick check of my hair sometimes occurs as well!
Thanks for a great giveaway and for all the great tips and ideas you give! I am inspired.
I “liked” designz divine on facebook and even left a comment there. I hope that’s the right place to have left it!
I tweeted about your great giveaway!
I like to freshen up about an hour before company arrives- just makes me feel fresh and calm.
Yes, I definitely freshen up…..change clothes, touch up makeup, hair and a small spray of fragrance. Makes me feel better along with putting me in “hostess” mode!
I don’t always remember to freshen up before I walk out the door – being the mommy of 3 preschoolers has me more worried about them most of the time! Now that the oldest is almost 5 it’s starting to get easier. I try to at least brush my hair. :)
