Entertaining with Canning Jars, Greek Yogurt and Granola
I love Fridays. And easy posts that have simple entertaining ideas!
If you read my post earlier this week on how to make delicious granola, today I’m sharing a simple breakfast (or snack) entertaining idea.
It’s really fun for kids, especially with smaller portions.
Ingredients:
Greek yogurt
Honey
Granola
Strawberry (or fruit) for garnish
Take small (1/2 pint) canning jars (no lids).
Fill with Greek yogurt.
Drizzle with honey.
Sprinkle with 1-2 inches of granola. (Homemade is best!)
Garnish with a beautiful piece of fruit.
And serve on a tray with other fruit!
Happy weekend, friends.
What will you be doing this weekend?

This is such a beautiful idea…and just take a look on these pictures. Great work!
This is something we have for breakfast quite often. My husband and I both enjoy this and we would go to the park for the walking paths and take this with oranges or bananas and coffee and have a breakfast break while enjoying a little Mother Nature. This weekend our son is coming over to help with some chores and we will watch a movie and have a little pizza. Hope you have some fun planned !
What an adorable idea!
What a delicious, beautiful idea – love it!
Okay, I’m motivated to make your granola and these yummy breakfast…
We have a final soccer game before tryouts in May and grocery shopping
Hi Sandy,
Hope you are having a great time! :-)
Just love your use of small canning jars to serve up yogurt. Adorable! And adding the extra fruit to the tray is such a good idea.
I love Fridays too…and am so happy this one is here. :-) You will laugh when I tell you this but, as a family, we have been catching up on all the movies about characters in the Avengers series of movies…Iron Man, Thor, Captain America…and tonight we will be watching The Hulk (I think there are two???). This way we will be all set for the new Avengers movie coming out next week. (How funny it is to say all this as a middle aged woman!!! …you can tell I have a son … LOL!!!)
In addition to popcorn…I think I’m going to serve your yogurt cups too. I just got some lovely strawberries from the market.
Have a wonderful weekend. Looking forward to hearing all about it.
Love,
Mary
I love these! What a fun way to entertain!
Sandy, this is a great idea! Jack would love this–he’s a big fan of Greek Yogurt, but he’s also a person who appreciate aesthetics, so I think the simple beauty of this presentation would appeal to him. Strawberries are in season in North Carolina–I need to go pick some and surprise him with a healthful homemade treat! :)
BTW, I can’t believe you’re having a KitchenAid stand mixer giveaway. I was noticing the other day that my poor KitchenAid is starting to look a bit tired. No wonder–it’s got a lot of miles on it! That mixer is the one appliance I wouldn’t want to live without.
