KitchenAid GIVEAWAY via USA Today Your Life Magazine
There’s a new publication that hit the stands today by USA Today, designed specifically for women.
It’s called Your Life: Guide to Women’s Health.
Christine Neff, from USA Today, wrote an excellent article in this fabulous magazine called, “Holiday Entertaining Made Easy!”
I’m honored that she included RE as part of the interview on each beautiful page of this feature.
Take a peek at these fabulous pages!
There are fantastic recipes, tips on bringing the outdoors in, simplifying during the holidays, staying sane and “putting perfections aside,” and most importantly, realizing the benefits of entertaining.
There are so many benefits to entertaining, the most obvious in my opinion being forging beautiful relationships!
Your Life is also full of good eats, tips, advice, and plenty of reminders that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Which brings us to our GIVEAWAY here today!
Do you own a stand mixer by KitchenAid? I think I’ve owned a couple in my 30 years of entertaining. I just wear them out, they’re used so much for baking, cooking, and canning. I tend to think of my KA as a friend, who I rely heavily upon. :)
Today in celebration of RE featured in USA Today, KitchenAid is giving away a 7-quart Stand Mixer. This product is brand new, so the winner will be one of the first to own it.
Here are the details (winner gets to choose between silver, black, or red):

Cooking for the Cure, presented by KitchenAid, reminds us that cooking with a purpose (and supporting the Cure) helps to bring an end to breast cancer in our lifetime.
Oh, how do I believe in this. My mom had breast cancer, and then ovarian cancer took her life. So cancer is fresh in our family and a reminder that we need to do all we can to help.

I liked USA Today Your Life fb page. phew!
When I have family get-togethers, I try to do everything from scratch. I love to use my kitchenAid mixer for cakes other heavy-duty mixing that would destroy another mixer.
My family is out of town, so when I host I make the main dishes – meats, sides, pretty much anything that requires refrigeration or won’t travel well. Often family will bring things to help – snacks, desserts, drinks, etc.
Thanks to Kitchen Aid, USA Today and you. Congrats again on this awesome feature, Sandy. What a fantastic thing!
xo,
darcy
I liked the Kitchen Aid fb page. I’m already a fan of RE fb page. :)
I love the idea of the potluck party but I have trouble going through with it. I usually wind up doing more of it myself than I should.
Sandy,
First of all congratulations. What wonderful news for RE to be in the new magazine. For my first entry: I so don’t do the perfectionism thing anymore so I ask people to bring dishes for a holiday get together. Thank you.
I Liked Kitchen Aid’s FB site as well!

As a long time vegetarian, I do both. when attending a family gathering, I like to bring an appetizer, a protein, and a side dish (sometimes a dessert!) so that I can contribute and be sure to have food myself! When hosting a party, I love to dream up a totally vegetarian (and more often vegan) spread to share with my loved ones to introduce them to new and flavorful food combinations they wouldn’t otherwise get to enjoy. Haven’t disappointed an omni yet! ;)
My mother in law bakes and decorates cakes for friends, family, and her sudents–she just recently made my wedding cake! I love to spend time with her and learning from her when she makes cakes :) she uses her KitchenAid mixer for the batter and icing everytime! It’s been used SOOO much and is very old. She got it as a hand me down from her mother in law. Definitely a retro mixer. I’d love to win this new 7 qt mixer to give to her as a way to say thank you for her time and joy in baking beautiful, meaningful cakes for so many people for free! She is a gem!
I usually do everything on my own! This would sure help!

When I host, my favorite part is planning the menu…so I tend to “make it all”.
Our family is huge, so potlucks are the only way to go. Plus, all the women on *both* sides of my family love to cook, so it’s a fun way to show off and share some new recipes!
I love to entertain and I usually do everything myself from scratch. I do occasionally have a pot luck as well, those are always fun to see different things people bring.
