KitchenAid GIVEAWAY via USA Today Your Life Magazine
There’s a new publication that hit the stands today by USA Today, designed specifically for women.
It’s called Your Life: Guide to Women’s Health.
Christine Neff, from USA Today, wrote an excellent article in this fabulous magazine called, “Holiday Entertaining Made Easy!”
I’m honored that she included RE as part of the interview on each beautiful page of this feature.
Take a peek at these fabulous pages!
There are fantastic recipes, tips on bringing the outdoors in, simplifying during the holidays, staying sane and “putting perfections aside,” and most importantly, realizing the benefits of entertaining.
There are so many benefits to entertaining, the most obvious in my opinion being forging beautiful relationships!
Your Life is also full of good eats, tips, advice, and plenty of reminders that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Which brings us to our GIVEAWAY here today!
Do you own a stand mixer by KitchenAid? I think I’ve owned a couple in my 30 years of entertaining. I just wear them out, they’re used so much for baking, cooking, and canning. I tend to think of my KA as a friend, who I rely heavily upon. :)
Today in celebration of RE featured in USA Today, KitchenAid is giving away a 7-quart Stand Mixer. This product is brand new, so the winner will be one of the first to own it.
Here are the details (winner gets to choose between silver, black, or red):

Cooking for the Cure, presented by KitchenAid, reminds us that cooking with a purpose (and supporting the Cure) helps to bring an end to breast cancer in our lifetime.
Oh, how do I believe in this. My mom had breast cancer, and then ovarian cancer took her life. So cancer is fresh in our family and a reminder that we need to do all we can to help.

It depends, mostly on how frantic the surrounding days are (holidays are extremely busy for us), but I prefer to put everything together myself. But even if I do a potluck style meal, I’ll usually keep the main dish & desert and ask for people to bring a salad or rolls.

I do both – I make a lot of the food myself (that way I know it will be good!) and then I do have familly bring things also.
I like to cook a lot of the food myself but will sometimes get others to bring some of the dishes. Usually I will ask for specific dishes so we have a more planned meal than a potluck.

Wow, what a nice giveaway! I usually let guests bring a side dish, dessert or an appetizer. I always prepare the main dish and drinks. But I’m in a rut right now, haven’t entertained hardly at all this year, only for my children’s birthday parties. I do miss it! Will have to plan something for Halloween, we always do!

We live across the drive from my husband’s parents. When we have company we are usually together so mom and I (and my daughter if she’s available) do all the cooking.
I “like” RE on facebook!
I like to prepare most of it myself because I enjoy serving and cooking for other people. If someone asks whether or not they can or should bring something, I usually tell them to bring their favorite appetizer or dessert, :)
I usually make everything myself…love to cook!! Never have had a stand mixer and have always wanted one!!! thank you for the chance to win!!

I’ve done it both ways… Preparing all/most myself and also having everyone pitch in on the food… I think potluck-style is my favorite :)
I usually make the main dish and drink with the sides/desserts as potluck.
I do both. For Halloween, we’ll do a potluck (I make meatballs/spaghetti, lasagna or ziti and everyone else brings the sides. For Thanksgiving or Christmas, I do the meal and guests bring appetizers/wine. It’s a pleasure to prepare for everyone, but I know people like to contribute, too.
