KitchenAid GIVEAWAY via USA Today Your Life Magazine
There’s a new publication that hit the stands today by USA Today, designed specifically for women.
It’s called Your Life: Guide to Women’s Health.
Christine Neff, from USA Today, wrote an excellent article in this fabulous magazine called, “Holiday Entertaining Made Easy!”
I’m honored that she included RE as part of the interview on each beautiful page of this feature.
Take a peek at these fabulous pages!
There are fantastic recipes, tips on bringing the outdoors in, simplifying during the holidays, staying sane and “putting perfections aside,” and most importantly, realizing the benefits of entertaining.
There are so many benefits to entertaining, the most obvious in my opinion being forging beautiful relationships!
Your Life is also full of good eats, tips, advice, and plenty of reminders that October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month!
Which brings us to our GIVEAWAY here today!
Do you own a stand mixer by KitchenAid? I think I’ve owned a couple in my 30 years of entertaining. I just wear them out, they’re used so much for baking, cooking, and canning. I tend to think of my KA as a friend, who I rely heavily upon. :)
Today in celebration of RE featured in USA Today, KitchenAid is giving away a 7-quart Stand Mixer. This product is brand new, so the winner will be one of the first to own it.
Here are the details (winner gets to choose between silver, black, or red):

Cooking for the Cure, presented by KitchenAid, reminds us that cooking with a purpose (and supporting the Cure) helps to bring an end to breast cancer in our lifetime.
Oh, how do I believe in this. My mom had breast cancer, and then ovarian cancer took her life. So cancer is fresh in our family and a reminder that we need to do all we can to help.

We do pot lucks, its more fun and less work. :)
I’ve liked Kitchenaid!
I do most of it myself and have others bring dishes that are not my specialty like vegetables.
I like to have a potluck style party so that not all the stress is on the host! And you get to sample all kinds of yummy foods!
I usually make the bulk of the meal and maybe have a few people bring some sides.
Tweeted as ORSunshineBlog!
I usually make all the food and if anyone wants to bring something to add to it that’s always a bonus!
I liked the Reluctant Entertainer on facebook!
I usually make everything myself. But, I don’t usually have huge get togethers. I’d love to have potlucks as well with even more people around!
I liked the pages. I would love love one of these. I have wanted one for about 10 years. And have had no luck with getting one ;o(
I hope you choose me…I promise to put it to good use
I already follow Kitchen Aid on FB.
I make everything my self. I love cooking!!!
Potluck! That way there is more variety and you know for a fact everyone will at least have one dish they like.
Being a control freak, I do everything myself.
I “liked” USA Today You Life on fb.
I like to do the main dish or entree and the bread item and have others fill in the menu according to the theme of the dinner event. I recently had “Chicken Packages” made with cream cheese and chicken breast filling and have them slated to “star” at my next dinner event.
I tweeted the “tweet”
I liked Reluctant Entertainer on fb.
I posted on my blog. I am only in the “testing” getting ready to go stage.
when i host i make everything from scratch
I think everyone has a favorite dish to make or eat during the holidays. It’s fun for me to enjoy the traditions of others families while making a few of our families’ favorites. So bring a dish to share!
It’s all about the potluck for me :) Takes off some of the pressure and involves your guests more, too!
Pot luck is easier at this stage in our life for large gatherings. We do dinner and have guest bring a side or whatever they want, or nothing for a small (one other family) gathering. I’m not sure we’d entertain often if we did it all every time. Thanks for the chance to win an awesome mixer!
Our holiday get togethers are usually with family and we do potluck or several of us cook. I never try to do it alone.
When hosting a party, I love to do it potluck style. It really makes things easier on me. Plus, everyone brings their favorite dish so you get to try new dishes without making them. Another variation I use is to do a “theme potluck”, that way everything goes well together.
