This Mountain Home Wood Floors #GottaSwiffer post celebrates Swiffer’s 18th year anniversary, and my 15-minute wood cleaning tips!

Friends, we’re coming out of winter, and we’re not talking about a normal winter, we’re talking about one of the worst winters in 20 years. We’ve enjoyed a few sunny days this past week, so beautiful, it got me in the spring-cleaning mood!

Being in a smaller house now, it doesn’t take me long to clean house (floors, windows, only 2 rugs to vacuum, 3 bathrooms). It seems to be my job, part of being an adult, I guess, even though my family will pitch in if I ask them!

Our house is filled with wood.

And many wood stairs.

Solid wood floors upstairs and down.

I mean, lots of wood. (When we bought our mountin home 1 year ago, after we put our home for sale on Craig’s List.)

With people coming in and out, and bringing up firewood every few days, we track a lot of dirt into the house. (Above, our mountain home today.)

This past weekend when we hosted for St. Patrick’s Day, I got the house cleaned in 30 minutes, using my Swiffer for the floors (15 minutes). The house was clean, without spending my life cleaning!

Nothing cleans a busy life like Swiffer. If you’ve got a life, you gotta Swiffer. Right? LOL

I’m usually so busy cooking, when it comes time for entertaining, I really don’t want to spend time on cleaning! (Those are Guinness chips, and look at that cute cheese ring!)

Easy as 1,2,3…

First I sweep, then I grab the Swiffer, the yummy-smelling pads, and after timing myself, I can Swiffer the entire house in 15 mintues.

It not only saves me time, I love how fresh it makes my house smell!

And by the way, did you know the Swiffer is 18 years old this year? Swiffer swept the nation by storm in 1999 and I’ve been using a Swiffer in my home ever since!

Of course, a true Irish dinner served: Corned Beef and Cabbage!
