I love entertaining during the holidays, and a simple party to host is an Appetizer Party! Using Alexian Pâté award-winning, fresh, all-natural and sinfully delicious gourmet products, I’m showing you how to set up an Appetizer Station by creating some decadent appetizer ideas for the holidays!
Alexian Pâté products are all-natural. They’ve made a commitment to preparing pâtés and mousses in a completely natural manner, sacrificing preservatives, additives and unnecessary fillers. Alexian Pâté products are also gluten free with no added flavor enhancers or hydrolyzed plant protein.
4 party stations.
One idea for holiday hosting is to set up various stations. The 4 most popular food stations are: Appetizer, Main Course, Dessert, and Drinks.
Today I’m focusing on the Appetizer Station, bringing nature in with natural decor, setting out the drinks, plates, napkins, and several styles of appetizer platters.
6 Appetizer Party Tips.
1. Plan a menu. Order wine and any gourmet products that go with your menu.
2. Make a list. Shop early and prepare what you can ahead of time.
3. Set up the appetizer station the day before. Keep an easy flow.
4. Time the food to be set out as the guests arrive. Have plenty of wine.
5. Never run out of food. Plan extra, for any holiday stragglers.
6. Once the food is set out – grab a drink, sit back, enjoy the party!
Order from Alexian.
Appetizers can easily leave you tied to the kitchen if you’re not careful. This is where Alexian Pâté comes in. Pick up special food items that are unique and gourmet for the holidays! They have a store locator, here.
Display the food.
When it comes to the display of your food station, use a buffet area–whether a sideboard, the top of a piano, your center island—with a surface that can accommodate the spread, as well as a few holiday decorations that fit within your theme.
For an appetizer party, the drinks can have their own station, or be set alongside the appetizers!
Lastly, it’s the right thing to do to serve several desserts at your appetizer party. If you want your guests to swoon, make them rich and sweet! I usually set this up in a different area.
Keeping it simple, fresh, tasty, interesting, beautiful— here are a few ways to serve Alexia products for your next appetizer party!
Mixed Vegetable Pate.
This vegetable pâté is a colorful three layer composition of spinach and broccoli, cauliflower, and carrot mousses. Cut into small squares and serve with a toothpick in each bite. Serve nuts on the side.
This creamy, spreadable and mouth-wateringly rich mousse is made with pork, turkey and chicken liver, sherry, truffles, wild mushrooms and spices, a delightful mixture of rich flavors and creamy, delicate textures. Follow the recipe below for this delicacy.
Duck Liver Mousse with Cognac.
Duck, pork, mushrooms, specially blended spices, and a dash of fine cognac go into the Duck Liver Mousse Pâté. I stuffed DeLallo’s Pepperazzi Sweet Pepper’s with this delight. It’s a mouthful of happiness!
Rillette is a savory Duck spread with a fantastically rich and savory flavor. It comes in small terrines, which I heated up and served with goat cheese, sliced pear, and mini toasts. Out of this world!
Pheasant and Rosemary Pate.
I served this with honey and sliced almonds. Delightful!
