Day Trip to Fall River Headwaters in Central Oregon
On a recent Day Trip to Fall River Headwaters in Central Oregon, my husband and I discovered new fishing areas for the upcoming flyfishing season! This post is sponsored by FLONASE® SensimistTM.
Friends, this past weekend my husband and I did some more exploring here in central Oregon!
This time we went to the headwaters of the Fall River, on a very pretty day. In the past we’ve visted the Painted Hills, Smith Rock, and have hiked the Metolius River with friends.
Springtime is very wet in the high desert, with a mix of sunshine, snow, rain, and clear blue skies, but the perfect time to take a day trip and explore nature!
We ventured out with our dog, Haggis Barley McStitch, to enjoy a short hike, but also to explore fly fishing options.

There’s something so soothing about a river, where the headwaters begin, creating a river so clear and serene.
Add in the snow in patches along the bank, it’s simply beautiful.
We have 2 family members who suffer from spring allergies, and use Flonase Sensimist Allergy Relief for nasal congestion and the itchy, watery eyes commonly caused by pollen, mold, dust and pet dander.
It’s easy to quickly pick up at your local CVS Pharmacy, and by the way, did you know that more than 76% of the US population lives within 5 miles of a CVS Pharmacy?
This time of year, it’s convenient to grab and go. There are 9,600+ CVS Pharmacy locations in 49 states, Washington D.C., Puerto Rico and Brazil, and CVS serves more than 5 million customers every day!
Paul and our son use Flonase because it’s non-drowsy, with 24-hour relief, it has a gentle mist, and is scent free, with a full prescription strength.
Scoping out the waters for fly fishing, with Flonase in our pockets!
After our hike, we went back to our local fly shop to buy just the right flies for the first fishing trip this year, as we will be heading out soon to the Deschutes River and Fall River for springtime fly fishing!!
Do you or your famiy members suffer from seasonal allergies? Have you ever used Flonase before?
More than 50 million Americans suffer from allergies each year, including 2 of our family members. This post is sponsored by FLONASE® SensimistTM, but as always, all opinions are my own, as we use this product regularly in our home.
