The Best Shopping Spree at Home Goods!
Later this week I’ll be heading to Atlanta for Blog Her Food 2011. Last year we had a fantastic time with lots of good food, speakers, and great friends. This year, I expect it to be even grander!
One exciting event that I’ll be attending is a Home Goods store for a little shopping spree. How fun is that?
What’s even more awesome is that I get to bring some friends along with me.
When I think of Home Goods, I think of a one-stop shopping store for so many things in the home. Lamps, rugs, bath, kitchen, dishes, glassware, artwork, and more accessories than you can imagine in one store, as well as furniture items too.
My eye will be on the “entertaining” items, of course, and what I’ve collected for years … white serving platters and dishes.
What I appreciate about a store like Home Goods is how easy it is for me to pick up a few new accessories to give my home a quick seasonal makeover, without spending a lot of time or money.
This season I’ve already started working on my outdoor entertaining space, and I have a vision for some new items that would be perfect for summer entertaining. I can’t wait to browse the “outdoor” area to see what would be a good fit.
At Home Goods, I also love to think of my friends, because I often buy ahead for their birthdays. Do you ever do that? If I see a good deal, or something that reminds me of each friend in their home, I snag it. And save it. And give it to them for their special day.
One thing I’d like to add is that there is a sweepstakes for (10) $25 gift cards going on right now over at Blog Her. Check out the Prizes and Promotions Page and enter to win!
Are you a Home Goods Shopper, and would you share with me your favorite section of the store?

Lovely, lovely. If I may ask, where did you get those little balls with violins? One of my friend is a huge fan and collector of violins in any form so it would be an awesome present. Thanks in advance.
I do love Home Goods and my favorite section of the store is the wool rugs. I’ve never found better deals anywhere else! Have a great time!
I love the area with the dishes, then on to the linen, pass through the area with rugs and pillows then on to the lamps and furniture.
I love the outdoor furniture and garden items that Home Goods sells. We bought this unique Indian style lantern and statue of St. Francis at Home Goods and just those two items transformed by backyard into a peaceful santuary. Look here:

I also love the table linens in Home Goods. I have bought several beautiful tablecloths in floral prints at Home Goods. They carry all sizes up to 120″ long. When I have a party, people always comment on how gorgeous the prints of these tablecloths are. I love that they are not only beautiful, but also affordable.
HomeGoods is one of my favorite stores hands down. I recently just spent about 1 hour in there just looking around. So much cool stuff. I settled on some pretty glasses and 1 pack of 10 or 12 kitchen towels for about $8. Best deal I have seen so far on those!
OH my, I have to drive 350 miles to my nearest Home Goods store. But what a treat it is. I love all sections but the one that speaks to me the most is the one containing dishes, glassware, serving pieces, flatware, china, table dressings.. and then from there I move into Home Dec and then I go to the linens.. oh let’s not forget the kitchen items, I peruse the lamps and furniture and after about 2+ hours, I am ready to check out. so basically, the whole store!
Love Home Goods…they have beautiful kitchen linens and accessories! I love to shop there for just about everything! Last time I was there I bought everything I needed to redecorate our guest bathroom, all in one stop and at great prices. I got great quality and came in under budget!
oh my goodness!!! I live in Atlanta, pick me as a friend to go with!! Just kidding- but I’m so envious of this opportunity! That is a dream come true for me, lucky you! I love HomeGoods and got gift cards every single holiday! I haven’t gone as much lately unfortunately (because of a rude customer service experience that has scarred me for life!!) but I do enjoy a good bargain! (just not enough to subject myself to that behavior!) I know you’ll have a blast! Their lamps are my favorite!
Homegoods is the bomb. From where i am sitting in my family room i can see 7 things that i have purchased there over the last month. It is pure awesomeness. I spend most of my time in the kitchen linens – they have the best cloth napkins and tablecloths, and the Home Accents dept – i love their accessories.
I LOVE Home Goods and I was so excited when they opened one in Portland (actually I had never been in one before the Portland store), but I love it. So many things….I don’t know if I have a favorite department…The kitchen area is amazing but I also am drawn to the glassware and home decor items. We have purchased a few larger items…a mirror in our bathroom, a cabinet that holds DVD’s and I’ve purchased little kitchen things here and there…
The dishes- hands down….one month and I can enjoy a shopping trip there!! Have a blast in GA- I lived and taught there for years before I got married and was whisked off to Alaska!
