Croissant Breakfast Sandwich Board
One of my goals this New Year is to do my best to visit “local.” Yes, it’s easy to get caught up with the ease of Amazon, ordering groceries, etc. I get it, I’ve done it.
Croissant Breakfast Sandwich Board Ingredients:
For this fun breakfast board today (on the new 12 x 24” board), pick up these ingredients:
- Mini croissants
- Smoked salmon dip
- Honey Dijon mustard
- Soft boiled eggs
- Black forest ham (we buy at Trader Joe’s)
- Brie cheese
- Sliced slami
- Banana nut muffins (you can make them, or buy them in the store)
- Black cherries
- Orange, sliced
Make these homemade muffins for your board:
- Snickerdoodle Donut Muffins
- Chocolate Muffins
- Bran Muffins
How to prepare a breakfast board:
There is minimal preparation for this board; everything can be prepared the night before! You can boil the eggs ahead of time, cut and wash the fruit, and portion out the dips.
Substitutions to consider:
Use your favorite dip or spread, like this Best Brunch Board.
Add in bacon, sausage, or cheese.
Use fruit in season.
Replace the croissants with bagels or even toast.
Better yet, make your own bagels.
Mix and match the muffins or pastry. Have you tried my Danish Puff? Delish!
Also, don’t hesitate to make substitutions like adding jam and butter, herbs, spinach artichoke dip, or other fruits.
My new weekly goals to consider:
Live on joy, forgiveness, curiosity, and hope.
Visit a coffee shop with a friend. An actual meeting face-to-face.
Stay off of social media feeds, and actually call or text my friends to check in.
Get to know my neighbors in a more intimate way. We’ve already started this, and OH, what a blessing!
Make a couple dinner invites a month. Maybe for a board? An easy meal, or even to buy pizza. The goal is to get to know people “in real life.”
Think about local entertainment. Who in your little town can you support, buy tickets to their event, and proudly recommend them to others?
I’m not always precise with these goals, but it’s good to have some new, fresh ones. It doesn’t have to be an all or nothing mindset. I often thing about grace … give yourself grace, and the same to others!
So again, how’s your New Year going?
