What to serve on a dinner board

One of our favorite summer menus is right on this epic board:

A few weeks ago, we had a family over for dinner to enjoy this board with us. So good.

You can check out my Grilled Lemon Dill Salmon recipe, and then add in more summer produce!

Make individual salads and serve with tongs!

Epic Grilled Salmon Dinner Board

This board serves 8 adults!

Our time together was loud and fun as we got to know these families, and storytelling bound us together. Right in the middle of the table was this Grilled Salmon Dinner Board, which we grazed on while we talked.

I love how stories make us closer to each other, when they help us understand, that this is where you’ve come from. Or this is what you’ve been through. Or, you too? (Meaning, that has happened to you, too?)

After we dove into this board, and had a simple gelato for dessert, I woke up the next morning so grateful for another time to create friendships—new friendships. And I can’t wait until we get together again.

I always say here on my blog, these boards are about bringing people together.

24-inch Charcuterie Board

Friends, here is the board that I LOVE. It’s 24-inches in diameter with a 2-inch lip. A “lip” is the secret to the best charcuterie or dinner board, because the food does not fall off.

The big boards are sold out, but you can check out Best Charcuterie Boards to Buy.

Stay tuned for more information coming soon on RE about big boards to buy!

How to season a Charcuterie Board

If a wood board says it “not food safe,” you can lightly sand it down with sand paper, and rub down with beeswax and mineral oil.

We used this butcher block and cutting board oil conditioner after we lightly sanded the board down.

Or, lay down parchment paper! Easy peasy!

Grilling summer food

Follow these instructions in grilling the salmon but don’t forget you can also grill (or boil) the corn on the cob, and even toss the bread on the grill.

New friendships enrich our lives.

I don’t know about you, but I love to learn about people’s upbringings, traditions, their work lives and countries they’ve been to.

I also love to hear a family’s favorite vacation with their kids!

Summer is jut a great time to eat summer food together and simply hang out together!

Wouldn’t you agree?

PS. I also bought these little “pie shaped plastic dishes” which are called: Mozaik Premium Plastic and Tapas Set. I’ve had them for a couple of years so no idea what store to buy them.
