Day 18: Gather Around the Fire for Intimate Summer Entertaining
Thanks for joining me in my “30 Days of Summer Entertaining” series. (Scroll down to the bottom for previous posts in this series) :)
Let’s face it, most of us in America do not have an outdoor fireplace, so fire pits are an inexpensive alternative for warm evenings and cozy summer nights. You really only need the space, chairs to gather and to make a comfy outdoor gathering spot.
I love my home. I love the people who come to it. And I also love to dream about cool intimate fires spaces …
Have you experienced an intimate entertaining moment around a fire?

I enjoy sitting around the fire (though I wish we could do without the smell in the hair afterwards) and just visiting!
I’ve loved your outdoor entertaining series, but since we don’t have an outdoor table or patio area, this is really our choice for summer entertaining. We have a great fire pit area that we love to entertain around. We usually do s’mores, so it’s an easy and relaxing, but fun way to visit with friends. And speaking of s’mores, if you haven’t tried this yet, try them with peanut butter cups, peppermint patties, or spread peanut butter along with the hershey’s bar. Yum!
When we bought our new home I think it was probably the fireplace that clinched the deal. There is just something about gathering around a fire that warms the soul. We have an outdoor fire pit too which is great.
Have a fabulous day.
