Gift for the Holidays: Canon hdAlbum
This post is sponsored by Canon hdAlbum, where I recently made a beautiful coffee table book of our trip to Hawaii – a great gift for the holidays!
Friends, today I’m sharing a very fun project that I recently worked on with Canon hdAlbum! I made my own photo album coffee table book with photos from our recent trip to Kauai, Hawaii.
The process was simple, the photos gorgeous (up to 2,400 dots-per-inch (DPI), the book is affordable, and what a great idea to make these books for holiday gifts, or like me, as a keepsake and coffee table book!
This was my first time to make a Canon hdAlbum, and I’m so happy with how it turned out. It has superior color, so many design options while you’re putting it together, and I am impressed with the high quality binding.
This will for sure be a keepsake for my husband and me.
The hdAlbum is easy for everyone, and simply a very creative outlet for organizing your photographs.! The book pages are printed exclusively on the Canon DreamLab 5000 (a high quality production photo printer).
The hdAlbum service allows you to easily create custom photo albums with easy-to-use software.
I’ve made other books in the past, and what I noticed with this project was the vivid color of the photos.
The software offers a large selection of backgrounds, layouts, and templates to choose from.
You can use the auto-arrange feature, or do an entirely custom design.
You can be creative with the sizes of photos, because they offer a variety of different sizes to let your creativity go wild.
Plus, the hardback cover will last forever!
Let’s get started.
Here’s how easy it is.
STEP 1: Go to storefront.dl5k.com to select a retailer logo and ownload the hdAlbum Creation Software, available for both Mac and PC platforms.
STEP 2: Select your book size and paper type.
STEP 3: Design your hdAlbum using either the layout wizard, or opting to make an entirely custom album.
STEP 4: Place your order. This is the only point after the software download for which you need to be connected to the internet; you can work offline the entire time before this step.
2 sizes of album.
Their classic photo album features their traditional, perfect binding for an affordable price, starting at $29.99.
Their lay-flat binding, which is the style I chose, allows images to read perfectly across a lay-flat spread, with a price starting at $54.99.
I truly appreciated the multiple quality checks, to guarantee every photo has the clearest resolution, which is what makes the book so beautiful!
Follow your inspiration.
I hope I inspired you to do something with your last trip’s memories, by putting them into a beautiful album, or taking photos from the last year and making gifts for the holidays. I love the idea of sports books, family vacations, “a year of” book, favorite photos taken over the last year. What a great idea to make a new book every year! Next, I want to make a book for this trip, and this trip, and my recent Downton Abbey experience in London!
But for now, I’ll never forget these beautiful Kauai sunsets!
