The Heart of the Home with KitchenAid French Door Refrigerator
The kitchen really is the heart of our home, where we often sit and talk, eat, snack, enjoy appetizers and drinks around the center island, and then when company comes, we move over to the table for dinner.
The goal.
The goal for my kitchen is to take what I’ve been given, and turn around and use it for “good,” which is why we have so many people into our home to share a meal! I didn’t always have a beautiful kitchen, and over the years, if we had been told that our kitchen had to look a certain way before entertaining, I think of all the dinner parties we would have missed out on, and friends we’ve really gotten to know around our table.
Don’t miss out.
There are always kitchens that will be neater, bigger, better designed, with “perfect” natural light, better floors, and appliances. In due season, you may or may not have your dream kitchen, but in the meantime, don’t miss out on hospitable moments!
Don’t compare, don’t give up, and keep on cooking and sharing food and love with others!
New fridge.
Today I’m sharing about a new appliance from KitchenAid that’s now in my kitchen, for those who are planning a new kitchen, or are looking for new appliances. Head over to KitchenAid’s blog to see more details about this KitchenAid® 29 Cu. Ft. Standard-Depth French Door Architect® Series II refrigerator!
Top 10 favorite foods.
I’m also sharing my top 10 favorite foods that are in my refrigerator, over at Aggie’s Kitchen today, a new series that she has recently started. Click, here, to visit Aggie’s site. You can learn more about the fridge, and actually see inside. Fun!
Well-stocked.
I always rejoice when my fridge is well-stocked. It makes me grateful, thankful, happy, and also it reminds me of how we can bless others with what we’ve been given, because I know in different seasons of life, not everyone has a well stocked kitchen!
Use it for good.
My hope for this new beauty in my kitchen is not only its use for family and friends, dinner parties, and holidays, but for blessing neighbors, taking meals to others in need, and really using it as a tool to getting to know others better.
The kitchen is where we let our guards down, join together with friends and family—mingle, catch up, and get the party started!
Are you content with your fridge, or what features do you wish you had?
KitchenAid® provided me with this refrigerator, but as always, all opinions are my own.
Ok I’m showing this fridge to my husband today!! He has been pushing the French doors and I think you’ve sold us. :) BTW – LOVING your new site!
I love, love, love your fridge, I think I heard angels sing when I saw the pic. The angle of the shot and the lighting is really great. I think the stainless or grey of the inside helps to make things look more rich.
I will be looking for something like this and will not be so sad when I have to replace my fridge someday. Thanks for sharing!!
Can I say that I would give just about anything for the fridge you have here? We are in DIRE need of a new fridge but it’s not in the budget since we just bought our new house. Our current one freezes all of our fresh produce, no matter what temperature setting we put it on, and it’s kind of beat up on the front. YIKES!
Wow. I LOVE LOVE your new Kitchenaid. I have an older side by side that is not nearly enough room for me. I have a big stand alone freezer that helps but my goodness, what I would give to have one like yours. I love to cook and have 12 grand babies and lots of family & friends with never enough space for feeding them all.
I have a side by side and it’s too small, especially the freezer. Your new Kitchenaid looks fantastic! My kitchen is not big enough for a larger refrigerator. I would love a separate freezer.
That is a beautiful new fridge and kitchen! Congrats!
Content… after having a dorm sized fridge for 2.5 years, I’m good with what I have! :) You look stunning, by the way!
Aw, thanks, sweet Tara! xo
I have a French door fridge (different brand, though) and it’s great. Mine has the refrigerated drawer and I think it s the best invention ever!!!
Sandy,
I have a 30 cubic foot side by side GE fridge that’s 16 years old. It never seems to have enough room in it. Have you had a French door frdge before? If so, did it take a long time to get used to it?
Annamaria
I did have a french door fridge before this one. I liked it, but didn’t love it, becasue there seemed to be a lot of wasted space, like the HUGE ice machine in the door (for automatic ice). This fridge has a smaller version, which is plenty of ice and gives a lot more room in the fridge. Overall, I’ve yet to see a better fridge than this one.
I love my fridge, but man I love yours even more! My kitchen is much too small for the way I cook, but I have lived with it for 18 years now – always hoping one of these days I can remodel and have some functional cupboards and countertops. Some day!
One idea, Kim, is to put a fridge in your garage? That could help if you’re limited inside. :)
