Day 9. Simplicity. Small Gifts.
Simple.
Simple gifts make me happy.
Friends came to our dinner party this week.
She handed me a small gift.
A small container with a blue lid.
I opened it carefully, not knowing what was inside.
Wrapped very carefully.
A beautiful heirloom tomato.
Perfect and beautiful (sometimes our imperfections show we still have flaws).
She knew what would make me happy.
I made 2 cheese pizzas with a yummy sauce, and garnished our lunch with this beautiful piece of fruit.
Cheese and tomato pizza.
Simple, yet with meaning.
Tasty, a reminder of the autumn season, and a “gift” of a good friend.
Simple.
When’s the last time you gave a gift of simplicity?

Beautiful tomatoes. We’ve been doing grilled pizzas with fresh mozzarella, tomatoes, and basil. Yum!
