Thanks for joining me in my “30 Days of Summer Entertaining” series. (Scroll down to the bottom for previous posts to this series) :)

Last week our friends were coming over for a casual dinner, so I asked my son to help set the table.

We cut a few fresh flowers from our yard and he carried out the dishes.

One of my quick and easy go-to salads that are fun for kids to help with is Greek Salad on a Stick (page 77 in my book).

Light and tasty.

If you’re already making kabobs for your summer dinner party, continue on with the “bamboo skewers” to make salad on a stick, too!

Other jobs that I give my kids to help with summer entertaining are:
Setting the table
Different jobs in preparing the food
Filling the citronella containers
Stocking the drinks
Picking the strawberries
Cleaning the pool
Tidying up the pool toys or outside toys
Cleaning the outside bathroom

How do you involve your kids with summer entertaining?
