How to make the best burger

Keep it simple, Friends!

  1. Shape beef into six patties (about as wide as your burger buns). Using your thumb, make a dimple in the center of the patty to prevent extra shrinkage while cooking. Season both sides generously with salt and pepper. Set aside.
  2. Heat grill to about 400 degrees. Spray patties with nonstick spray, then place on grill—cook for 3-5 minutes each side, depending on your desired doneness, 3 minutes for medium-rare.

Allow burgers to rest while you toast burger buns.

Of course we added toasted buns, tomatoes, arugula, and goat cheese for the burgers, and then the juiciest summer fruit!

The Hot Pepper Bacon Jam is made with spicy jalapeno peppers and smoky bacon—a great addition. It’s great on burgers, but also on charcuterie and cheese boards, or even homemade pizza!
