How to make mashed sweet potatoes
- Boil the potatoes. You can also bake them (on foil lined pan).
- Place in a bowl. (Peel if you baked them with the skin on:)
- You have 2 options—you can place in a food processor or you can whip them.
- Add all your favorite ingredients (butter, yogurt, spices, honey, herbs).
- In a large bowl, scrape the potatoes from the mixing bowl (or food processor), and garnish with herbs and fresh pepper.
Set the table
Oh, and set the table.
Keep giving and loving
I came across this quote that I love. I’ve read Bob Goff’s books for years, so when I see a quote from him, I stop and read it. I take it to heart, and see how I can manifest it in my own life. Isn’t that what quotes do for us anyway? They make us stop and think.
We’ll know we’re living gratefully by seeing how our love multiplies itself in the lives of the people around us. –Bob Goff
So true.
Which is why we’re always filling our calendar with people. My husband and I have spent almost 27 years of marriage making others a priority. Now living in a new town, it’s quite different. We’re having to reach out to get to know new people. Not everyone reciprocates, but that is okay. It doesn’t make me love people any less.
Back to Bob’s quote. We are to keep giving and loving. We can also reflect on the people who have made a difference in our own lives.
Curried Mashed Sweet Potatoes
Don’t forget all the lovely spices to make this amazing side dish!
We close our eyes and thank God with gratefulness for the people who’ve impacted our lives. For the moments they have given to us.
We all know the importance of showing hospitality, don’t we?
We have a houseful coming this next week. Yes, I must be honest and say that it’s a lot of work to host. A lot.
You can’t just wing Thanksgiving. You have to plan, prepare, delegate, and have a timeline. All those things matter, so you can sit down and enjoy the amazing meal together!

love sweet potatoes, including beyond Thanksgiving, no reason to confine them to just one or two days per year, so thank you,
