Friends! Over the weekend we took a break from home improvements and went on 2 hikes (I’ll be sharing more this week), and had a few guests over! And grab the links to my NEW big board to buy for the holidays!

Avocado Toast Board

This EPIC Avocado Toast Board is a delicious weekend breakfast to serve! Or, make it for lunch! Lunch is also casual and serving “boards” is a cozy way to bring people together. Or, you may want to serve my English Muffin Breakfast Board! This avocado salsa verde is also amazing on a board.

It’s good to pause … and try something new on the weekends!

Hosting outside our normal circles

It’s so important and a great reminder for all of us to look outside of our “normal” circles. Do we hang out with the same people over and over, or do we add people into our circles? I write about it in this post, Fig Grape Crostini Appetizer, and dive in a little deeper.

All of the ingredients can be combined in different ways to suit the tastes of your guests!

Ingredients for Avocado Toast Board

  • Dried coconut (shredded or flaked coconut)
  • Banana
  • Chili flakes
  • Honey
  • Soft boiled eggs
  • Cooked bacon
  • Fresh yellow corn
  • Tomates
  • Goat cheese and Cotija cheese
  • Red salsa
  • Pesto
  • Smoked salmon and capers
  • Microgreens
  • Slices bread
  • Ripe avocados
  • Cutie oranges
  • Parsley, cilantro, and chives to garnish
  • Fresh lime and lemon wedges

How to avoid brown avocados

A tip for avoiding the browning of avocados is to mash the avocados together with lime juice before spreading onto the toast.

Additionally, you can spread the avocado onto the toast right before serving to avoid soggy bread and browning avocado.

The banana also requires a bit of lemon or lime juice to avoid browning, so keep that in mind.

How to prepare an Avocado Toast Board

  1. On a large prepared board, leave room for a large plate to be filled with cooked bacon, soft boiled eggs, tomato slices, and capers (in a small bowl).
  2. Fill small bowls with all the toppings.
  3. Toast the bread and keep warm. Meanwhile, mash the avocados with lemon juice and spread on the toast right before serving.
  4. Garnish with parsley and micro greens and serve right away!

Like serving an EPIC Avocado Toast Board ….

The “ohhhhs and awwwws” and the “Oh! This is delicious!” just fills my heart with joy.

Food is love

“Food is love, but the actual act of serving and making others feel warm and welcome, wherever you are, is what I love.” This quote really resinates with me.

This is the exact reason I love having people over or making something special to eat for my family. It’s how I show my love.

ENJOY!
