Bruschetta Tray
A simple Bruschetta Tray is so easy to make! Bruschetta is a simple yet flavorful Italian dish that highlights the quality of the bread, crackers, tomatoes, olives, feta, artichokes and more. Serve these Italian ingredients on a grazing tray where everyone serves themselves!

Think back to the popular bruschetta bar, where you set everything out on the counter, and everyone made their own combination of bruschetta on toasts. Today, we’re serving up a classy tray with your favorite bruschetta toppings (feta, olives, artichokes, tomatoes, bruschetta, salami, crackers) on a transportable tray! How delicious is this?
What is bruschetta?
Bruschetta is an Italian appetizer that has been around for years! It’s made with grilled or toasted bread, rubbed with garlic, and topped with olive oil, salt and pepper.

My husband and I took a cooking class in Spain awhile back, and we made the best bruschetta! It can be served with various toppings like tomatoes, basil, or other ingredients, or deconstructed on a large serving tray or board. It’s typically enjoyed as side dish or an appetizer.

What is a bruschetta tray?
Here’s what you need to make a simple bruschetta tray:
- Tray: Start off with a good tray or board to serve the food on.
- Bread base: Bruschetta is made on toasted or grilled bread, usually a crusty loaf like sourdough or a baguette. But for a tray – we also set out rustic bread sticks!
- Garlic and Olive Oil: Typically you use bread rubbed with garlic and drizzled with olive oil, but we set out crackers and bread sticks. Bread is optional!
- Toppings:While the most popular topping is a tomato-based mixture (tomatoes, basil, garlic, olive oil), other variations include red peppers, vegetables, beans, cured meats, cheese, and more. Keep the ingredients deconstructed and serve in small little bowls.
- How to serve: Bruschetta is typically served warm, either with the topping spooned over the bread or with the topping on the side. Also serve it with crackers and bread sticks. Setting out on a tray or a board is another wonderful way to serve bruschetta so each person can build their own.
- Versatility:It can be enjoyed as a light summer dinner, or a side dish, or snack (appetizer).

Sandy’s tips and substitutions:
- Use a big board or a tray for serving.
- Most ingredients you can buy over the counter, so this tray comes together in no time.
- We love opening a jar of Delallo’s bruschetta, because you know you are getting a premier product. But you can use any brand. You can also make your own.
- Optional to serve bread, like we did in this recipe, or set out crackers and bread sticks.
- Meat and cheese add to the board – it’s a great snack board.
- Not a feta cheese fan? You can use any of your favorite cheese! A soft cheese is delicious, too, like Boursin Cheese.
- Use any flavor of olives.
- Add more fresh veggies, like carrot sticks, bell peppers, and more!
