Friends, do you ever feel it’s time to reflect, slow down, and learn to love life a little more? This is exactly what happened this past weekend with my husband and me. We had several sets of friends come to town, and we enjoyed a few hikes, walks, snow, rain, sleet, and beautiful sunshine.

A delicious, casual meal to serve to guests are Abby’s Peanut Butter Fig Bacon Turkey Burgers that she made for us this summer. And now, we’re hooked!

We love turkey burgers, and in fact, here are several recipes on my blog: Sweet Potato Turkey Burgers, Brie-Stuffed Cranberry Turkey Burgers (super fun around Thanksgiving time), and then my friends’ Taco Turkey Burgers [Rachel Cooks], and Naked Greek-Feta Turkey Burgers [Skinnytaste].

A pretzel bun is always delicious for a burger!

Oh, so good.

Honestly, it’s so good to be in the outdoors, where you feel vibrant and energized.

What I love about nature is that it’s sturdy, steady, and and miraculous.

You catch your breath. You realize with so much gratitude, that life truly is a gift.

Every day is interesting, new, and full of gifts.

Besides the food, friendship, and conversation … nature is right up there as a way to connect with God and …

It is well with my soul.

  2. Wow. Yum. Our youngest was just at “Killer Burger” the other night and ate their burger that had PB on it. She said it was actually good, kind of salty sweet, though theirs had a bit too much PB in the middle. Might have to try it sometime.

  3. Lucky friends!  This looks yummy!
