Ruby Princess Balcony Room Lobster Dinner
Enjoy this Ruby Princess Balcony Room Lobster Dinner recap, in partnership with Princess Cruises, from our recent cruise on the Mexican Riviera.
Recently, my husband and I celebrated our 25th wedding anniversary on a Princess Cruise on the Mexican Riviera, with a delicious Ruby Princess Balcony Room Lobster Dinner!
Can you imagine, stepping onto the “Love Boat,” with a week ahead on the Mexican Riviera? Our cruise took us to Puerta Vallarta, Mazatlan, and Cabo, with plenty of time to enjoy the “big” ship! What a week it was.
Today I’m sharing some of the highlights of our Ruby Princess Balcony Room Lobster Dinner. Ultimate Balcony Dining on Princess Cruises treats passengers to an intimate dining experience in the comfort of their own balconies. And I’m telling you, it is a real treat!
Friends, it’s not easy to be married 25 years in this day and age. Marriage is hard work, nothing we take lightly, SO worthy of celebrating.
The staff really pulled out all the stops to help us enjoy this special day! 25 years ago we honeymooned in Puerto Vallarta, and this year, after a fabulous day-long excursion (more on this later), we came back to our room for a lovely surprise.
Room 714 Aloha Deck
But first … our room.
When planning your Mexican cruise, make sure and book a balcony room! I can’t tell you how much time we spent in our room, doors wide open, enjoying the gorgeous views and ocean breeze.
When we arrived at Room 714, there were beautiful flowers, a bottle of champagne, and these tasty treats! I love the personal touches that Princess adds, to make their guests feel special.
And did I mention, Paul and I had our best night’s sleep on this ship? The Princess Luxury Bed on the Ruby Princess was so cozy, with some of the finest linen, a soft, but not too heavy (important to us), hypoallergenic 100% virgin polyester duvet, with deluxe pillow options (you can choose down fill or non-allergenic micro fiber). Here’s how to experience the most comfortable sleep at sea.
To put it more simply, Princess goes out of their way to make your sleep the BEST you could ever experience at sea, with their plush, two-inch thick pillow top bed!
More on the room.
The spacious balcony stateroom was surprisingly more spacious than we had thought. What a nice surprise, to have an outstanding view, with relaxing furniture, from our private balcony.
The private bathroom with shower had all amenities, so you don’t have to pack these! Shampoo, conditioner, body lotion, etc. is provided!
There’s also Satellite TV, a refrigerator, hair dryer, safe, closet, phone and desk, and 110V plug-in, with standard U.S. plug fittings! Everything we needed for our 8-day stay!
We had daily housekeeping service from our fantastic purser, Johnny, with evening bed turn-down, and sweet chocolates on our pillows!
The best room service.
The last morning on the ship, we ordered room service for breakfast. Dining onboard a Princess cruise ship is a wondrous culinary journey, because every dish is “designed for fresh.”
We were not disappointed with any of the meals. We specifically loved the last ocean view, enjoyed the sunrise, and a healthy, delicious meal (with a few splurges of fresh pastry)!
Weave in the cloth bathrobes, hanging in the very spacious closet, and you can have lots of snuggly naps in the most comfortable bed, relaxing on the waves, watching The Love Boat.
So much fun!
Ruby Princess Balcony Room Lobster Dinner
Coming back from spending the day in Puerto Vallarta (our honeyomoon destination 25 years ago), we were told that my husband and I would be served dinner in our room that night.
What I love about Princess is that they are there to help YOU celebrate special occasions! They are FULL of surprises!
With mouthwatering appetizers, the best wine on the ship.
Several courses were served before the lobster and steak!
This pear salad with those most fabulous goat cheese!
And then the mouth-watering main course …
Each bite was magic, so beautifully prepared.
The Chef was very creative (making special dishes just for us!)
Ending with the most amazing lush chocolate desserts!
We loved our time with Marvin, Anastasia, and Lifton, who served us, but whose company we also enjoyed.
They were highly polished, professional, and we learned a lot about their lives (because we love to ask questions and get to know people). Along with balcony dining, they also have a photographer come to the room. So many great touches of high quality service!
This was our favorite night on the ship! Thank you, Princess, for pulling out all the stops!
It wasn’t just the beds, the gently rocking boat, the most amazing food, the fun excursions, the fabulous staff, the warm sun and ocean breeze that make us want to cruise with Princess again. It truly is the feeling that we were refreshed, renewed and rejuvenated on our trip.
Ready for our next 25 years!
Disclaimer: Paul and I were so honored to be guests of Princess Cruises on a recent 7-day Mexican Riviera Cruise, and I’m grateful for the opportunity to share our experiences with you. Thank you for supporting us, as we choose very carefully the brands that we work with. As always, all opinions are my own.
Congratulations on 25 years! Truly a special accomplishment in these times.
