Pistachio Lime Baked Salmon
This Pistachio Lime Baked Salmon recipe is easy to prepare, bakes in under 15 minutes, and is the perfect dish for company! The flavors are amazing!
One of the things I love to do when getting ready for a dinner party is to sing.
We have a cool little sound bar that sits on our piano, so all I have to do is turn on my favorite Pandora station or other playlists that we enjoy, hit the ‘music’ button on my iPhone, and then beautiful music fills our home.
Of course it’s great to clean the house and have music playing at the some time, and it’s even better if no one is home, because I can sing at the top of my lungs!
I like to sing music that has a purpose, if that makes sense, … music that actually inspires me to become a better person, or to love more. Something inspiring.
Music lifts the mood—even if I’m a little off key–but I just keep singing anyway. :)
I have a few friends who promised one another that the next time we’re all together, we will sing. We will break into parts and sing to our heart’s content, maybe 3 or 4 or even 5-part harmonies! We’ll probably let our fearless leader start us off (will it be a musical, a love song, a hymn?). We were too shy when we spent this weekend together, for some strange reason (none of us are really shy!), so we’re going to make up for lost time next time we’re together. :)
Recently, getting ready for this party, I’m almost positive I had the music playing obnoxiously loud (I’ll have to ask my neighbors-they’ll be honest with me) while I was cleaning house. It’s fun getting ready for a party!
Okay, enough of the cleaning and singing and setting the table.
Pistachio Lime Baked Salmon
I’m always happier entertaining when I know I have a really good recipe to share!
These ladies raved over this delicious salmon recipe that I baked for them, as I told them how easy it was to make with only 5 easy ingredients!
Easter’s right around the corner, and this possibly could be your new go-to main course recipe if you’ll be serving salmon! I love the combination of lime and dill. Who would have thought?
The next time you have a dinner party, write me and tell me what Pandora station you’re listening to, and if singing made your day better?

Pistachio Lime Baked Salmon
Ingredients
- 6 salmon fillets, 6 ounces each
- 1 cup pistachio nuts, chopped
- 1/2 cup packed dark brown sugar
- 3 T. lime juice
- 1 1/2 tsp. dill weed
- 1 1/2 tsp. pepper
Instructions
- Place the salmon in a 9×13 sprayed baking dish. (Usually I rinse the fillets first.)
- Pat salmon fillets with paper towel to remove any excess water.
- Combine the rest of the ingredients in a small bowl. Spoon over the salmon.
- Bake at 425 for 12-15 minutes or until the fish is done.
- Don’t overcook the salmon. Use the back of a spatula to press down on the salmon to feel if it’s cooked. If the spongy feeling is gone, and the salmon is firm, then it is cooked!
- Remove from the oven immediately and serve.

Oh Sandy…this salmon looks fabulous! I never would have thought to use nuts with salmon! I needed a NorthWest girl to show me how it’s done!
Oh, and the sing-along!!! I’m ready!!!! Well, maybe after a glass of wine…or three. ;)

This looks so good! I can’t wait to try it the next time we have salmon.
I love having music on, just depends on what I’m doing if I’ll actually be singing or not! There’s usually whole-house singing (and dancing) on the weekends, when everyone’s more relaxed and we take the time to cook better meals together. So much fun. This salmon looks awesome, Sandy – love the pistachios and the lime together!
My, my, my, that salmon looks GOOD! Love the idea of nutty and bright citrus flavor together.
We have salmon at least once a week and I can not wait to try this beautiful recipe!
What a great combination of flavors!
Looks so good!! I love listening to music while I cook, I need to turn on the music while I work more often. I love this recipe, Sandy!! And I love salmon!!
Sounds yummy! I always have a go-to marinade for my salmon topped with lemon and onion slices…YUMMY!!! I love cranking the music too. I did that this past Sunday while home alone preparing for a group of 15 to come up.
Sandy I do the same thing! I love listening to music while I cook and I love to sing…! My only wish is that I could carry some kind of tune! This salmon looks amazing! I’m a big pistachio fan and I just so happen to have a Costco size in my pantry! Bookmarked!
You have no idea how good this sounds! Salmon always reminds me of you Sandy :)
I love having Pandora on pretty much anytime I’m home. I love the Jack Johnson station, makes me happy. Also Alicia Keyes. Sometimes I even throw on an Italian station when I feel nostalgic cooking an Italian dinner – my house growing up was always filled with Italian music!
LOVE pistachios on salmon! In fact, we just had some for lunch — sans the pistachios, of course :)
This looks so amazing, I can’t wait to try it!
This is such a creative combination of flavors. I love pistachios!
We just had salmon last night, and I can’t wait to make this for next week’s salmon, looks amazing!
Oh girl – I’m singing just looking at this salmon!
Pistachios. Lime. Salmon. Pass the plate please : )
I love pistachios and salmon!
What a great way to prepare salmon! It looks so pretty too!
I’ll sing with you, girl! Hymns are my favorites, followed by show tunes. Am I the only one who knows all the lyrics of every song from Sound of Music and The Music Man?
We got a similar sound bar for Christmas and I love blasting pandora through it!!! That salmon looks incredible!
Speaaaaaking my language, lady.
That salmon is gorgeous, Sandy! And I totally agree…music and singing makes even the most mundane chore a whole lot more fun.
