Vegetable Appetizer Platter and Dip for the Holidays
This fresh and ready Vegetable Appetizer Platter and Dip is the perfect healthy treat to bring to a party or potluck for the holidays!
Have you ever noticed how a fresh vegetable platter brings everyone together? This past holiday, we set out several platters, and everyone gathered around, munching and mingling.
It was fun to sit back and see how veggies and dips can be the star of the party!
Fresh and ready vegetable appetizer platters make entertaining a breeze, especially when you step outside the norm and add in a few extra unexpected items, such as pickled salami rolls (with Alouette’s Le Bon Dip in Roasted Red Pepper & Chickpea inside), pickled beets or green beans, raw baby turnips, jicama, or mini cucumbers. Think outside the box when it comes to different or unusual tasty vegetables!
Salami Green Pickled Green Beans.
Anything outside the normal carrots and celery and olives that our mothers served. Although, as you can see, those foods I hold dear to my heart, and I still include them on a vegetable platter.
One of my favorite “bites” is to roll a piece of salami around a pickled green bean, with yummy dip in the center.
I love not only how colorful they are; they always provide a good “crunch” as well.
Aloutte Le Bon Dips.
And I’m a dip girl. I love a good dip. So here are a few of my favorites.
Aloutte Le Bon Dip comes in four delicious flavors: Roasted Red Pepper & Chickpea, Fire Roasted Vegetables, Zesty Garden Salsa, and Basil, Zucchini & Parmesan.

Today I’m sharing how to incorporate Aloutte Le Bon Dips into your next holiday gathering – with Roasted Red Pepper & Chickpea.
1. The Happy Vegetable Appetizer Platter. Include at least one dip and 4-5 vegetables. Make it bright in color, pretty, add a garnish of fresh parsley. Separate out with small dishes.
2. The Centerpiece. You can create a large vegetable platter with several dips and a variety of veggies, and make it your holiday centerpiece! Here’s a great idea. (PIC)
3. The Conversation Starter. Set out the platter when guests arrive, and watch how people gather and and start up great conversations.
4. The Side Dish. Whether serving chili, soup and salad, brunch, or a luncheon, a veggie platter makes an awesome side dish, with a variety of vegetables to enjoy!

So, bring in as much color, flavor, shape, texture to make the BEST vegetable appetizer platter this year!
Sit back, watch your guests munch and dip and munch and dip, and then hopefully you’ll be able to join in on the conversation.
It’s easy to be so busy with holiday hosting, that you miss out on the fun (conversation).
Prepare ahead of time!
It’s my goal this year to be organized, with food prepared ahead of time (such as this platter), and to be involved with the wonderful people coming into our home!
And after dinner … the dishes can wait.
