Breakfast casseroles for breakfast or brunch
Last week we hosted 2 sets of overnight company. My favorite … every morning I made breakfast, we served coffee, and we sat around the table. For hours.
What is it about being fresh in the morning, when life is new and light?
It’s my privilege to think ahead (it takes planning to host out-of-town guests), to plan food for company, whether a delicious dish like today’s recipe, an overnight Ham Breakfast Casserole, or this Overnight Monte Cristo Breakfast Casserole :)
Red Tart Cherries
Today I’m sharing a delicious recipe made with apples and Oregon Fruit’s Red Tart Cherries. Which, by the way, there are many health benefits that align with tart cherries, and cans are available at national retailers, including Walmart.
Oregon Fruit carries many different varieties–Gooseberries, Blueberries, Red Raspberries, Blackberries, Red Sweet Cherries, and more–but my favorite are their Sweet Tart Cherries.

I’ve served baked French toast made with eggnog, very tasty! A sausage egg bake is always popular also!
Our family has a tradition of making bacon and cheese quiche for the holidays. We all participate and it’s a fun and tasty time.
I love serving French Toast with fresh berries and other toppings to my friends and family as a fancy holiday breakfast.
My favorite thing to serve is baked blueberry french toast with sausage
Baked French toast is my favorite breakfast to serve as well, especially for overnight holiday guests. I always use fresh cranberries that have been picked locally and change other ingredients depending on the season. Although we have maple syrup available, the homemade cranberry compote is almost always the preferred topping.
My favorite breakfast to serve holiday guests is a crustless quiche.
I like to serve scones or coffee cake, an egg and sausage casserole and fresh fruit. Thanks for sharing your delicious looking receipe!
