Enjoy this Tart Cherry Banana Pear Bread Recipe, so moist and full of large chunks of pears and tart cherries, delicious served warm with butter!
Friends, we enjoyed a loaf of this Banana Pear Bread Recipe last week with a cup of coffe. As the weather was changing, mornings are colder, there’s definitely a feel of “fall” in the air. Fall makes me happy!
Our mums welcome us in the late morning as we bring our coffee out here to enjoy. I say late morning because early mornings are … just too cold to sit outside.

I was thinking back to how joyful I always feel in the fall. I’m not sure if it’s getting back into a routine, the cool days, the gorgeous colors … everything seems new.
I remember one year wasn’t that great. One of our sons was struggling with his elementary teacher, and it continued throughout the year. That’s enough to suck the joy right out of a parent’s heart. So even though new school years were exciting, they can still be tough, helping your kid navigate the tide.
We weren’t parents to pluck ourselves out of tough situations, unless bullying was involved. This teacher retired that year, and she was just old, tired, grumpy, disorganized, and had already given up. In hindsight, we should have moved our kid out of that class.
The things we learn as parents.
When things got better, joy returned, and we gained wisdom. Our son was fine, and also learned from the experience. (PS. If a teacher is a bully, you do rush in as a parent to be a protector).
