Pampered Chef Braid
Have you ever made a braid out of crescent rolls? When my mom passed away in 1997, I started selling Pampered Chef products, and it was a fun outlet (distraction) for me. I made so many braids at so many parties! Yes, the recipe has been around for a long time, but I’ve never shared it here on RE.
[PS. I hosted 100 parties!]
How to make a scrambled egg and ham braid
- Arrange the crescent rolls from one package into a rectangle shape on top of a piece of parchment paper on a cookie sheet. Place rolls from remaining package along the edges of the two long sides of the rectangle, with the broad half of the rolls on top of the first layer of rolls, and the pointed ends extending over the sides of the pan.
- Arrange the ham in a layer down the center of the dough. Spoon the cooked egg mixture on top of the ham and then sprinkle the cheddar cheese. Bring the corners of the rolls together over the cheese to form the shape of a braid.
It’s easy!
When I think of the holidays this year, I think of smaller gatherings, and bringing our loved ones together around our table with good food. Definitely 2020 looks a lot different for many of us, but we will still eat, get together, and give thanks.

Breakfast Braid Brunch Board
Ingredients
Braid:
- 8 eggs
- 1/4 cup water
- 1/2 tsp salt and pepper to taste
- 2 8 ounce packages refrigerated crescent roll dough
- 5 ounces Applewood smoked ham, thinly sliced
- 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
- 1 Tbsp rosemary
- 1 egg white
Board:
- 4 large muffins, we bought Sailor Jack Muffins from Market of Choice
- 6 coffee cake bites
- 12 mini cinnamon rolls
- 1 cup watermelon, cut in chunks
- 1 cp cantaloupe, cut in chunks
- 1 cup honeydew, cut in chunks
- 1 cup raspberries
- 1/2 cup raspberries
- Lindt chocolates
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a blender, add the eggs and water. Blend until smooth. Add salt and pepper. Heat a lightly oiled skillet over medium-high heat and cook egg mixture until eggs are almost set.
Spoon the cooked egg mixture on top of the ham and then sprinkle the cheddar cheese on top. Bring the corners of the rolls together over the cheese to form the shape of a braid.
- Brush with egg white. Sprinkle with fresh chopped rosemary!
- Bake for 25 to 30 minutes, until cheese is melted and rolls are golden brown.
- On a board, place a hot pad for a plate to hold the hot braid.
- Around it, arrange the fruit, muffins (optional to cut in half), and chocolates and SERVE!
Can this be made ahead of time?Â
Do you mean make ahead before baking? Or make and bake ahead? I would not do either. I think it’s best made fresh and baked and served right away because of the crescent rolls.
This looks so good, but my whole family is Vegan due to medical. Is there anyway you could post a vegan board for the holidays? I love your site and the boards look beautiful!
Search “vegan” in my search tool on my blog! :)
Yum. This sounds amazing.
