Friends, the minute you start feeling sorry for yourself in life, pause. In fact, I was out on a run this week, enjoying the gorgeous sunny weather before the snow hits, and I sat down on a bench by the water. I thought to myself, I am going to pause right now and give thanks. WOW, what an important exercise to do regularly.
Today I’m sharing a delicous Classic Bay Shrimp Pasta Salad Recipe, so tasty and easy. You can add whatever veggies you have in the fridge, and the secret is in the sauce, and my favorite sweet pickles. :)
I love to give thanks to the Creator, the One who whispers into my soul different things I should take note of. Unfortunately, so many times, I’m way too busy and I don’t hear it.
Being sojourners in this busy, bumpy life, I think about how we have so much to take in and give away, and the importance of using our time and gifts wisely. I feel humbled when I think about all I’ve been given, and I regret if I’ve ever taken these for granted.
Like good food. Healthy food, home-cooked meals that are so much better for our bodies. Better for our health and also better for our souls, when we share meals with others.
How aout taking inventory of what you feel blessed with today? Many of you know the same hymn that I grew up with, Count your blessings, name them one by one … how true.
There’s always plenty of good food in our pantry. Enough to whip up a meal. Wine in the cupboard to open and share with others. Maybe even a cake mix and a can of cherries for this 4-ingredient Chocolate Cherry Cake, last-minute dessert.

You can buy bay shrimp (or maybe you call it baby shrimp) and freeze it.
Add in fresh veggies. Oh, and psst–the secret is in the dressing and pasta.
Serve with a side of pickled beets?
A richly textured and multi-colored salad, this recipe includes a perfect blend of shrimp, pasta and crisp veggies. So good!

Yum. I love shrimp…it might not make it in the salad.
