Moist, filled with apple flavor and warm spices, like cinnamon, cardamom, and ginger, this Easy Apple Charlotte cake is pretty nearly perfect! It’s truly a wonderful dessert to make for Fall and holiday, and delightful served with vanilla ice cream.

easy apple charlotte

Easy Apple Charlotte is a classic British dessert traditionally made with apples and white bread, baked in a molded pan. Instead of making an Apple Charlotte Tart, my version simplifies the process by using an easy cake batter and skipping the white bread, resulting in a dessert that’s just as delicious and easier to make!

Easy Apple Charlotte

This Easy Apple Charlotte is perfect for autumn gatherings, bringing a cozy warmth to the table with its aroma of spices and baked apples. The combination of tart Granny Smith apples with sweeter variates creates a balanced profile of flavors that’s truly irresistible. Tips & substitutions

  • Lining your springform pan with parchment paper ensures easy removal of the dessert after baking, making cleanup a breeze!
  • Instead of cardamom you can experiment with different spices like nutmeg or allspice.
  • You can use any type of apples that you have on hand but the contrast of tart Granny Smith with a sweet red apple is my favorite combination.
