Grilled Flatbread Pizza Bar with Easy Pizza Sauce
For our Grilled Flatbread Pizza Bar, we used Tuttorosso Tomato Sauce to make the best Easy Pizza Sauce!
Let’s just say that not all brands are the same quality as Tuttorosso! They add a sweetness, and a little acidity, and a richness, to pizza sauce.
What we’ve learned about Tuttorosso is that they use the ripest tomatoes–using color sorters on the farm to make sure they only use rich, red tomatoes. They also physically inspect each tomato for imperfections. Every Tuttorosso can has their Steam Sealed Flavor-LocTM system to protect the fresh, vine-ripened flavor of their summertime tomatoes, with no can taste.
Tuttorosso is a family-owned business, providing sustainably produced tomatoes, with NON-GMO harvests and Non-BPA-lined cans!
Make your own pizza
We like to switch up the flavors for homemade pizza, so just in time for summer, we served Grilled Flatbread Pizza. Delicious, especially when you make your own pizza sauce.
Set out the fresh ingredients with drinks and plenty of napkins!
Make your own pizza sauce
Are you looking for a way to bring your easy pizza sauce recipe to the next level?
Open one can of Tuttorosso Tomato Sauce, and mix with a few simple ingredients to make the best pizza sauce! We love Tuttorosso tomatoes, because they value freshness, simplicity, and quality in their products–just like we do!
This sauce would also be fabulous on this Pineapple Ham Flatbread Pizza Recipe! YUMM-O!
After mixing, allow the flavors to mingle together in the fridge for a couple hours before serving. THIS makes the best pizza sauce!
The key is UNCOOKED tomatoes for sauce! I love this—no cooking involved.
Assemble pizza toppings
Since the flavors are in the sauce, we love to set out marinated grilled artichoke halves, roasted bell peppers, a fresh-diced green pepper, and then amazing charcuterie meats, such as prosciutto ham, and hot & sweet soppressata salami.
Mix up the cheese with shredded mozzarella or an Italian blend.
And then always use cracked black pepper for the final touch!
Grill the flatbread
Grilled flatbread is the “quick, easy” way to make pizza. But what we love is you have a consistent crust, and it’s fantastic grilled. Spray one side with olive oil, grill and flip over.
Prep the pizza
After the flatbread is flipped over, with a large spoon, distribute a few dollops of pizza sauce on the flatbread, leaving a one-inch rim bare.
Add your toppings, shut the lid to the grill, and let the cheese melt.
So ooey, gooey good.
Such a fun way to entertain!
Cooking for our friends and family represents everything that has gone into creating that meal. A lot of love. And then, there are the memories of sitting around with our little oval-shaped creations.
The sharing of love and food, on a warm summer’s night, sits well in my heart.

YUM! I love flatbread pizza. Okay, I’d buy these simply because they have the word Rosso in them, which is my great grandmothers maiden name…lol
Mmmm….this is a must try, even if it’s just for the hubby and me! Everything on the grill for the win! And that pretty wore and beaded spoon is gorgeous!
Thanks Catherine! :)
