Items needed for this cinnamon roll board

  • 12 large cinnamon rolls – you can buy them from a can in the fridge section or make homemade
  • 2-3 kinds of frosting, cream cheese, vanilla, maple
  • 12 hard boiled eggs
  • 12 appetizer cups with yogurt, garnished with pomegranate seeds
  • Toppings, cookies and sprinkles
  • 12 pieces pre-cooked bacon
  • 12 links sausage
  • Grapes
  • Blackberries
  • Rosemary, garnish

Sandy’s TIPS: Options for buying or making cinnamon rolls

For this board, here’s how to prepare the cinnamon rolls ahead of time:

1. Order from a bakery, unfrosted (ask for the frosting on the side).

2. Bake your own cinnamon rolls ahead (and freeze).

3. Buy Pillsbury and bake before serving. Either use the frosting that comes with the package, or make your own. We love Cream Cheese Frosting!

How to prepare the big board

  1. Prepare a large board with a lip, placing on one side a large platter with the eggs (cut in half), sausage, and bacon.
  2. Pour yogurt into small clear appetizer tasting cups; place a mini spoon in each. Garnish with pomegranate seeds for the holidays!
  3. Place the toppings and frosting in small bowls and arrange on the board.
  4. Fill in open areas with the large cinnamon rolls, green grapes and red berries!
  5. Serve mimosa beverages!
