Grilled Corn Bratwurst Dinner Board
Serve a Grilled Corn Bratwurst Dinner Board, with smoky, heavenly grilled corn on the cob, brats, and grilled tomatoes, the ultimate summer dinner to enjoy!
Last weekend was the perfect time to bring a few people together for a simple summer meal: Grilled Corn Bratwurst Dinner Board.
Summer food with a local provenance of homegrown corn-on-the-cob, grilled tomatoes, and savory bratwurst was the simple meal. A few weeks ago we enjoyed this Grilled Corn Avocado Salad with fresh corn on the cob.
Serve on a large platter, arranging the food by color.
I also made this Melon Bowtie Pasta Salad.
Our friends brought another salad and we had gelato for dessert. But if you’re looking for a delicious baked dessert (and don’t mind turning on your oven), then try this Peanut Butter and Jelly Crumble!

All you need is fresh corn, brats (we bought at Trader Joe’s), tomatoes, and then summer’s best garnish: FRESH BASIL :)
The conversation was animated, and surprisingly the mosquitos weren’t hanging around, which meant more time around the table outside.
Classic Grilled Corn
Start with large ears of corn, husked and placed on the grill.
Remove when cooked and smear with butter.
Sprinkle with kosher salt and pepper.
Summer perfection!
Grilling Bratwurst
We bought these brats at Trader Joe’s and plopped on 2 packages on the hot grill.
Grill until they lightly “crack” and you know they’re done!
Grilling tomatoes only takes a few minutes, as well. Buy big heirloom tomatoes at the Farmer’s Market and you can’t go wrong!
Food heals and binds
You talk across the table, putting bites of sweet, heavenly corn into your mouth.
Life is short, and we never take these moments for granted.
Ever.
We fall into bed at night holding on to the moments with a very grateful heart!
