DeLallo Tomato Bruschetta is an authentic Italian recipe with a garden-fresh flavor. Made with Italian tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil, Delallo also added garlic and sweet basil.
It tastes like an irresistible, homestyle tomato bruschetta, just waiting for a warm piece of French bread and goat cheese.
Did you know Delallo’s Tomato Bruschetta is made in Italy, and is made with all natural ingredients?
We love how it’s an easy gourmet appetizer to add to a board, and is so good on its own with your favorite bread. Cheese is optional!
Here are more bruschetta marinated toppings (and tapenades and spreads) to add to your board:
- Sun-Dried Bruschetta
- Artichoke Bruschetta
- Garden Vegetable Bruschetta
What is bruschetta?
Bruschetta is an appetizer, or even a whole meal, made from toasted bread slices, topped with deliciousness.
It’s made by toasting whole, wide slices of a rustic Italian or sourdough type bread. This is what we used in this recipe today!
How to toast the bread: Preheat oven to broil on HI. Cut the bread in 2-inch slices and place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and a fresh crack of sea salt. Broil on HI for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
Is bruschetta the bread or the topping?
Bruschetta is an Italian way of serving toasted bread with your favorite toppings. You can make it as simple or elaborate as you want.
How to make a Summer Bruschetta Board:
- On a medium plate, lay down the goat cheese, and pour the tomato bruschetta over the cheese. Place in the center of the board.
- Fill 2 small bowls with the olive oil and roasted pepper bruschetta. Place on either side of the plate with goat cheese.
- Preheat oven to broil on HI. Cut the bread in 2-inch slices and place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and a fresh crack of sea salt. Broil on HI for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly toasted.
- Arrange the cheese on the board, and then lay the bread around the outer edge of the board.
- Fill in open areas with meats, berries, and cherries.
- Garnish with fresh basil and serve!
Other options for bread:
Toasted bread with olive oil, that’s the base – say, a baguette or a country-style Italian loaf.
Crostini are smaller slices of a smaller round of baguette bread, more like a white bread baguette. It’s toasted to perfection (nice and crisp).
- Buy in the store already prepared (usually in the bakery section).
- Make your own crostini.
Happy 4th of July week ahead, friends! Don’t forget to grab your BIG BOARD!
