Mix it up: You can use all of the flavors if you’re hosting a large group, or just 2 for a smaller gathering.

DeLallo Tomato Bruschetta is an authentic Italian recipe with a garden-fresh flavor. Made with Italian tomatoes, and extra virgin olive oil, Delallo also added garlic and sweet basil.

It tastes like an irresistible, homestyle tomato bruschetta, just waiting for a warm piece of French bread and goat cheese.

What is bruschetta?

Bruschetta is an appetizer, or even a whole meal, made from toasted bread slices, topped with deliciousness.

It’s made by toasting whole, wide slices of a rustic Italian or sourdough type bread. This is what we used in this recipe today!

How to toast the bread: Preheat oven to broil on HI. Cut the bread in 2-inch slices and place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and a fresh crack of sea salt. Broil on HI for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly toasted.

Is bruschetta the bread or the topping?

Bruschetta is an Italian way of serving toasted bread with your favorite toppings. You can make it as simple or elaborate as you want.

  2. Fill 2 small bowls with the olive oil and roasted pepper bruschetta. Place on either side of the plate with goat cheese.
  3. Preheat oven to broil on HI. Cut the bread in 2-inch slices and place on a large baking sheet. Drizzle with olive oil and a fresh crack of sea salt. Broil on HI for 2-3 minutes, or until lightly toasted.

  5. Fill in open areas with meats, berries, and cherries.

Other options for bread:

Toasted bread with olive oil, that’s the base – say, a baguette or a country-style Italian loaf.

Crostini are smaller slices of a smaller round of baguette bread, more like a white bread baguette. It’s toasted to perfection (nice and crisp).

  1. Buy in the store already prepared (usually in the bakery section).
  2. Make your own crostini.

Happy 4th of July week ahead, friends! Don’t forget to grab your BIG BOARD!
