Blueberry Caprese Skewers
But this appetizer? Honestly, we could eat these 4th of July Blueberry Caprese Skewers any day of the week!
Easy Blueberry Caprese Kebabs
A simple appetizer that is fresh and festive for any season is this Blueberry Caprese Skewers recipe! As long as you can find fresh blueberries, then you’re golden!
They only take a few minutes to make, and you can refrigerate ahead of time. Easy!
You can also make this delicious Layered Bacon Pea Salad (such a classic recipe!) or our family-favorite Wild Rice Salad (also festive for the 4th of July), and this scrumptious Mixed Berry Crumble recipe! Need a quick burger recipe (that’s gluten-free?), then try these Grilled BEST Turkey Burgers (made with almond meal). YUM!
How to make mini skewers
- Wash and dry the cherry tomatoes.
- Next, push one blueberry on the skewer, followed by a tomato and a folded-over piece of basil.
- Then push a piece of mozzarella next to the basil, followed by another large blueberry!
- Lay the Blueberry Caprese Skewers in a row, on a platter.
- Optional to drizzle with olive oil, balsamic vinegar, and salt and pepper.

Perfect for any party, especially for the 4th of July, you can aslo drizzle with balsamic glaze (we love DeLallo brand), just in case you like those flavors. We do! But honestly, when we served them this week, I forgot the glaze (sigh). Do you ever do that? :) They were just as good!
Hospitality goals
One of our dreams when moving a couple years ago, was to have a house large enough for our family to flourish, as well as a great place to host and experience community. We downsized, so our place is small, not huge at all. But it works, and we love it. Squeezing in together in a cozy atmosphere is actually … quite lovely.
Our goal: To invite deeper relationships and more hospitable moments around our table.
Happy 4th of July weekend ahead, and happy hosting with your loved ones … or neighbors or new friends?
Don’t get stuck always doing the same thing year after year! Change it up!
