In October, I focus on thankfulness. For gifts in life—material, relational, spiritual, and health. And for relational thanks, we are blessed with great people in our lives, and times of sharing meals with family and friends. This is why I love to create and serve food boards.

Here’s an easy weekend brunch idea: Serve a Brioche French Toast Board!

I found these lovely “pumpkin” themed food items at Trader Joe’s, and of course, this theme is prepared on my new 20-inch BIG BOARD by JK Adams! Grab the links to all of the boards below, plus in the store you’ll find the nesting bowls and tongs!

How do you keep the food warm?

I get asked this all the time. The instructions for baking the French toast say to lay them on a baking sheet and bake for 16 minutes.

Once they are baked, and if you’re not ready to serve the board yet, stack together and wrap with foil and keep WARM in the oven at 250 degrees until serving.

Prepare the board (with space for the French toast).

It’s all about timing with boards, and using your oven to keep food warm.

Friends, I know you’ve got this! :)

Thankfulness keeps me in the now. It centers me, keeps me from whining and complaining about what I don’t have. It also helps keep my mind on what I should be doing, rather than criticizing what others are doing..

I’m opening my home this month, are you? Even for only a few people.

ENJOY!
